Anyone here invest in Crypto? How long have you invested for?

I have been looking into cryptocurrency for a while now, and I honestly think it'd be a great way to make some extra money. I want to mine bitcoin for example, but I hear it's really tough to get into, and costs a lot due to having to have a really expensive PC that can mine. And if you want more, you would need to get more PCs.

But yeah, I want to invest more, but I worry that it would result in me just losing money.

Do you think we'll be made to wear masks forever?

The pandemic feels like it will never end, especially with the inclusion of the delta variant which has been wrecking more havoc all over the place. It's made me wonder, do you think masks will be required to be worn for the foreseeable future? I could totally see this keeping us in these mask protocols. What do you guys think though? Do you think we'll go back to being able to go maskless? Or do you think the future will be full of forced mask wearing?

What are your days off used for majority of the time?

When it comes to your day off, what do you enjoy doing those days? I get the weekend off most of the time, but there are work weeks where I have a Mondy off and then a Thursday off. It's weird and I hate it. But when I get the weekends, it's perfect. I get time to do some gaming, watch movies, listen to music and mostly relax in general.

What are your days off for most of the time?

What's the biggest nostalgia trip you had recently?

My parents got me a NES when I was a kid, it was a bit late, but I loved the hell out of that console. They ended up selling the console and games years later and I literally hadn't played a game from that generation since then. Anyway, a few of my friends brought over their old NES and games and man does it bring me back. I remember opening up Super Mario Bros 3 and playing that while my mom cooked dinner. And sitting there, playing those games again, brought me back. The nostalgia trip was unreal haha! But seriously, it felt great to be there.

What was a recent nostalgia trip for you? By that I mean, any kind of thing that brings the nostalgia feels coming. It doesn't have to be about video games either, it can anything that bring you nostalgia.

How do you feel about online dating through apps?

I feel like what was once useful is more a less just about booty calls and one-night-stands these days. I don't know anyone who uses dating apps around my age for serious relationships. They use them just when they feel like getting some and it is convenient I guess. This seems to be more the case with dating apps like Tinder vs dating websites but only older folks seem to use dating websites. At least from what I have seen.

How do you feel about online dating? Do you think it will be taken more seriously in the future? Have you ever dated someone you met on an app?

Best decade for hip-hop and r&b?

I wanted to make a poll on here for this to see what people think. Because I feel the vibe switches every 5 years with music, I wanted to have both the standard decades and the break points. For me, I feel the best era/decade for hip-hop and r&b was 1995 to 2005. I feel like things have gone downhill since Nas said rap was dead in like 2009 I think it was (might have been 2007?). Either way, music just doesn't have the same feel for me in these genres. I don't even listen to mainstream stuff anymore. Haven't in a good 10 years now.

Income tax was only meant for the rich, so what happened?

When the income tax was first proposed, it was meant to be for the top % of earners in the US. They were going to "tax the rich" and told everyone else not to worry. Only the super-wealthy would be giving 2 or 3% of their earnings. Then we had a war. Suddenly, they had to tax more to supply it. It was meant to go back but oh no, another war? They just kept pushing this until EVERYONE was being taxed. The government continued to spend and print money and people started to ask for their gold. Know what they did? They got rid of the whole paper money = gold tender which removed the cap completely off the government to print even more money. Since the '70s, we have seen the USD drop significantly in value and it is all thanks to the government spending money that is not matched by gold.

So what does this all mean? We are being screwed and the government is the one screwing us all. You see the effects of this big-time in lower and middle-class families. They have continued this narrative for so long that people think the best solution is to tax the rich more. How about not taxing people who need their money to survive? Maybe this would result in black communities being able to be turned around and care for themselves without the government getting involved and making things worse. If the focus is always at the top, everyone at the bottom is going to be ignored.

The problem has been the government for so many years, I think people just forgot.

What was life like for you during the beginning of the pandemic

The pandemic hit us way back in early 2020, and it has been going on since. I feel like it's never going to end, but I'm hopeful for soon. Anyway, I was wondering how you guys dealt with the pandemic early on. Were you let go at your job like pretty much everyone else? I got let go of my work for a while, which was a burden in itself, but unemployment helped. But they could have easily helped with more stimulus checks.

Most of the time I was out of work, I tried to find online work and when I couldn't find anything else, I just gamed and watched movies.

How did it go for you starting out?

Ready for the new Batman movie?

What are your favorite horror movies? I grew up watching horror movies, and one that comes to mind right away is The Shining. Movie is so trippy, especially if you watch some of the theories online. You'll see the movie in a different way after.

Other favorites are: Friday the 13th part 2 or 3 (whichever one he shows up with the hockey mask), Halloween, Halloween 5, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original, 2, and remake), The Blair Witch Project, and recent ones I would say The Conjuring, Get Out, Hereditary, and a few more I'm probably missing.

White liberals being the voice of black people needs to stop!

When all the riots and stuff were going down, I remember seeing a video of two black women yelling at two or three white women wearing all black. They were spraypainting BLM on the side of a Starbucks and they were yelling at them to stop because they don't want them to be blamed for it. The one woman was almost in tears saying people will see this and blame us, not you! I got sick to my stomach. I see more and more of this. What gives them the right or the authority to speak for the black community? I almost feel like they are doing things and saying things just to make themselves feel better. It is just toxic virtue signaling and they are using the real-world struggles of black individuals and families to make themselves look better.

What are y’all feelings on Sha’carri?

I love Sha’carri but she needed to be humbled. All of this attention went to her head and made her a worse person. She just need to man up hold the L and get with the right coaches that will push her and get her back on the right regemine. She should have never took this event after the Olympics, but they paid her to go there and do the job like the Brooklyn Brawler or some shit. She just didn’t know it. She didnt have the right people in place to filter that out.

I feel like she’s getting close to being casualty to that social media trap.

What y’all think?

the Book Club

The main goal of the 6zeros Book Club is to provide a space for learning, discussion, cultural exchange and increased understanding between all people of African descent around the world.

We believe that we must seriously and diligently research our own as well as each other’s history, with the purpose of learning from each others mistakes and successes, healing together,
and building together, so that we can grow back into the giants that we once were.

There will be a separate thread made for each book in the library, where all discussions on that book will take place.

If you start a book and don’t see a thread already made for it, feel free to take the initiative and make it.

A badge will be given for each book that you complete in the library.

Let’s get it!

How do you feel about the Taliban in Afghanistan rounding up all their coons and how the blowback impacts Black Americans?

The media keeps talking about the crisis going and painting it as if the Taliban are a bunch of savages attacking their citizens but is that true?

  1. The Taliban did not attack the USA during 9/11...that was Al Qaeda, an organization linked to the CIA.
  2. A lot of Afghanis worked against their own people to help the USA take control over the country.

Knowing these two things to be true, why wouldn't they go door-to-door to punish the individuals who collaborated with the US Government? Do they not have the right to do that?

What's terrible is that this is also going to impact us as Black Americans because there's about to be a ton of Afghanis coming into our neighborhoods and competing with us for the limited resources.

Then since these people have been saved from certain execution, they will be in alignment with the US Government and work with them against us.

Our tax dollars are going to go to helping these people get situated...they are going to get refugee funds and grants and in the end they will end up working to sabotage us. This is why we as Black Americans need to stop playing around and understand that we are all we got.

This nation says it has no money for reparations but then turns around and bails out a bunch of Afghanis.

On the latest drink champs, Dame Grease talked about how his management at Ruff Ryders would tell people calling to get his tracks that he stopped making beats and then they'd direct the inquire to Swizz Beatz. I can understand looking out for your fam but this is foul...Dame Grease had some heat...stop being greedy was my joint. Did you know about this @tuckdog ?

YouTube recommendations

Anyone have any recommendations for YouTube videos? Why not make this a topic where we can share clips on YouTube. Anyway, I'm looking to start watching YouTube more often. Do you guys have any recommendations for comedy channels, movie channels, rap/hip-hop, R&B, and other such music channels? I'm looking to subscribe to a lot of channels, so lets get some suggestions going.

Getting the new Madden 22?

So, Madden NFL 22 came out yesterday, and I'm torn on if I will get it or not. I used to buy each release of Madden back in the PS2/Xbox era up until the PS3 era. Sadly, I haven't really bothered much with recent releases, because I've found them to be more mediocre as of late. They've stripped a lot of content, that was originally in past games. And I don't understand why.

I was hopeful for these games to improve, but I don't know if they ever will. They are essentially the same games every year with some small changes here and there. I'm honestly thinking of going back to ESPN NFL 2K5. :D

Thoughts on LBJ?

I was a fan of his in his early career. I thought he was a wholesome dude. Had family values and everything. I really felt like he was truly an NBA player younger people could look up to. I noticed since he went to LA though, a lot about the dude changed. The one thing that really soured me on him was the issues with Hong Kong. Like I know, we are not expected to be helping people in other countries as citizens but to stand with China while they were abusing, killing, locking up, and enslaving those people... It just rubbed me the wrong way. I lost any respect for him that I had left. I used to be harsh on Kobe (RIP) because of his actions with his wife and some of his friends over the years but that was nothing in comparison. He did some stupid stuff but he never sold out.

What are your thoughts on LeBron James? Do you think he changed?
