Floating abortion clinic planned off Alabama coast in Gulf of Mexico​

A California doctor plans to offer abortion services to women in Southern states such as Alabama, via a boat that operates as a floating clinic in federal waters off the Gulf Coast, according to news reports.

Dr. Meg Autry, an OB-GYN in San Francisco, aims to raise about $20 million for the project known as PRROWESS, or Protecting Reproductive Rights of Women Endangered by State Statutes.

“The project is being funded with philanthropy and the patients care is on a needs basis, so most individuals will pay little to nothing for services,” Autry said in an interview with NBC Bay Area.


Autry, who’s also a professor at the University of California, San Francisco, said the floating clinic will provide surgical abortions up to 14 weeks, contraception, on-site testing for sexually transmitted infections and more.


Her goal is to offer reproductive services to women in states with laws that ban abortion, limit the procedure or make it hard to access. A team of licensed medical professionals would staff the clinic for about three weeks per month, according to Autry’s plan.


PRROWESS hopes to acquire a donated boat, Autry said, that would be transformed into a floating clinic. Money raised by the project also would be used for ongoing costs such as patient care, security and liability insurance.

ICYMI, these "ladies" didn't want to pay the $1.75 charge for some extra sauce. Instead of paying the charge or forgoing it, the women decided to literally tear up the restaurant.

Lately I’ve been seeing lies spread about FBA being a hate group and there is a petition running on change.org (which has been reported) that is against FBA and also ADOS, B1, Freedmen. I scrolled on the page and found that the person who created the petition has there Tumblr account linked. Now what would make them do this? Why is there so much hostility going on? A person claiming ADOS stated F me and Tariq and kept telling me Tariq is my leader when Black people don’t have any leaders because they’re deceased. Also, how is a lineage a cult? This is dangerous behavior and could cause deaths of innocent people.

We sensed it and knew it from the tracking they did for "remedial learners" to those presumed to be college and professinal school bound. Even then, it was laced with the poisons of cultural myopia and bias

I have been seeing studies over the last 5 years or so coming out that say people who spend too much time online are worse off.

I think this depends on where you spend time online though. It seems the more time you spend on places like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok actually harms you in more ways than one. They reported a drop in intelligence, increases in anxiety and stress, and overall physical health consequences. I can understand that cause these platforms are stress-filled hiveminds.

So how much time do you spend online? Do you browse more on your phone or more on your computer? Where do you spend most of your time online?

Some DoorDash customers took advantage of a glitch on the food delivery site to order thousands of dollars worth of groceries and food for free.

Posts on social media indicated a problem affecting the site on Thursday night that allowed users to check out without making a payment.

One customer showed a receipt on his DoorDash account for more than $3,000, with items including 32 packs of diapers and 45 units of baking soda. A later picture posted by the user showed several boxes of alcohol that appear to have been ordered from the site.

This bird is 2 years old and the battery (#1) didnt foul up like Batteries #2 & #3. I really like this bird because its the one I really learned how to fly, plus its easy to put together on site. What pisses me of is the low quality of the 2nd and 3rd batteries.
