EV Cars aren't about saving the environment...

I looked into this all more. I did it because I had my doubts and concerns. With all these rich people pushing these climate change rules and lies (yes, many of these are LIES)... It just got me thinking.

So we have EVs becoming the standard. They announced that by 2035, ALL non-electric vehicles will be banned. Now, I thought to myself - is this benefiting the environment, the auto industry, or something else?

So we look at how these EVs will be powered. The electricity needs to be coming from nuclear energy otherwise it defeats the purpose because gas is needed to power generators to charge, make, and manufacture EVs. Turns out they will STILL be using gas and it eats up even more of it!

From there, I thought - so this isn't a move FOR the environment, so is it in favor of the automotive industry? It would appear in the short term, this will help them but in the long term, this will hurt most of them, especially American brands.

So if the EV push is not to help the environment and it isn't to help the automotive industry long-term... What is it meant for?

CONTROL. They want to be able to track everywhere we drive to, watch us, monitor us, everything and if they decide we aren't good enough citizens, we will just be cut off from using our cars. They can turn off ALL modern EV cars remotely so they do not function.

This is scary!

So the price is going up for the 5, but not in the US....not yet at least.

So they are citing global inflation as the reason for the price hikes in the article, while indicating they won't be doing so here in the States. However, it's only a matter of time before all that changes....this will be an interesting next couple of months.

Asking for assistance from my family

This is definitely a first for me. In the eight years of my being a ProBlk advocate, activist and writer for my people I have never publicly reached out for help until very recently. That said, I have found myself in a very difficult financial/housing situation in addition to health and legal problems and could really use some assistance. A fellow activist here in Detroit recently created this #mutualaid request and shared it via Twitter but I decided it was time to let the family here know what's up (especially since many of you don't really be on Twitter and I don't blame you). Those who know me personally know that I hate asking for help and prefer to be the one helping so the simple fact that I have decided to do so demonstrates the level of hardship that I and my family are going through at the moment. And for those who may not know me or aren't familiar with what I do, I don't make any income from my activism/advocacy and #NAFPAorg is fully self funded although I'd like it not to be one day. I do it all voluntarily and as such when things like this happen I have very little to fall back on. There have been wonderful, caring and courageous people within and outside the #childwelfare reform/abolition movement who have supported and contributed and I am truly truly grateful to and for each and every person who has donated/shared and supported me during this very difficult time but I am still far from reaching my goal. If you cannot donate please share. I will be sure to personally thank each and every person for thier contribution no matter the amount. I will be creating a public open letter acknowledging any and all contributors when my goal is met. Thank you so much.

White Entertainment Television? Anglo Diaspora Network?!

For decades, white racists and the like have been bitching about how they should have a white only channel like WET like how Black people have BET. In fact, whites want(ed) a WET channel so bad that they got a white male named Bob Brilliante who decided to create a recent, but now defunct TV channel called the Black News Channel. But wait, didn’t Black people already have BET? Gee, these whites really wanted a WET channel that bad now didn't they... 😒

Do you still collect physical media?

Like vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, video games, books etc. Do you still collect any physical media? I have some albums in my collect yet, but have mostly moved to digital purchases, same when it comes to movies and video games. I find it easier to buy digital media over the physical media. I don't have to drive anywhere, order and wait for it to be mailed, etc. But I still like buying physical albums and movies sometimes, same with video games.

Anyway, what about you? Do you still buy physical media? Or have you moved on to buying digital media?

Def Jam Fighting/Wrestling games need to come back

Remember Def Jam: Fight for New York and Def Jam: Vendetta? They are two of the best fighting/wrestling games around. I think Fight for NY ended up being the better of the two. There was also Icon, but that game was far removed from the two that came before it. I wish they did remasters or remakes of both games, skip Icon, but maybe add all the characters from that one in the older games. I'd like that.

Do you guys remember playing the Def Jam games? Hell, if they don't make remakes of these classics, maybe a new game that utilizes a similar fighting engine or gameplay style. As long as they don't do what they did with Icon, and go back to what worked, I could see it working.

But, the downside is that it's EA we're talking about, so the chance of this ever happening has to be very slim.

Gamescom 2022, what were your favorite reveals?

Gamescome 2022 just happened, I believe it's now over though, but either way, there was a ton of great announcements. Some of my favorites are:

There was a lot more in terms of reveals, but those are the three that I took notice of. There's others like a new Dune game, Sonic Frontiers trailer, and a few others. What were your favorite reveals/trailers?

Is your menstrual cycle connected to the moon?

Black women, talk to me. I can do the research but I cant have a period. I find it interesting that the moon's cycle can have a synchronicity with a women's cycle. Fact: The ocean's tide is affected by the moons cycle around the earth. What is this connection to universe women have that men don't? Is this what ya'll talking about when you say "womens intuition"???

Nearly half of Android users consider switching to iPhone over security and privacy concerns

A survey shows that 49% of Android users are considering switching to Apple’s iPhone due to “perceived superiority” in security and privacy. In addition, consumers reported feeling more secure using the iPhone 13 Pro Max instead of Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The survey by Beyond Identity, which interviewed 1,003 Americans regarding mobile phone security habits and sentiments, shows that 76% of Apple users feel more secure with iOS. In contrast, 74% of Android users have the same perception.

According to the users of each type of smartphone, the iPhone 13 Pro Max felt remarkably safer than the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. In fact, iPhone 13 users were more than twice as likely to say that theirs was the most secure smartphone they had ever used.
Key findings of the study also show how cloud services impact Apple and Android users:

  • 20% of iCloud Keychain users feel extremely secure, while only 13% of Google Password Manager users feel the same;
  • 27% of Apple users feel extremely secure using iCloud while 22% of Google Drive users feel the same.
