[Blackgravity]

The movie is pretty depressing, the regular stereotypes are there (disfunctional nggs) the alphabet agenda is there, you'll peep it. The story is not original, seen this storyline hundreds of times.. No parts stand out. Acting was okay. Would I watch it again..? F'no.

This was terrible. Nothing that hasn’t been seen before. Halle reprised her Losing Isiah PT. 2 with one 5 min scene of MMA boxing. And they had to insert the AGENDA into this, of course bc functional black women/black male relationships can’t exist in Hollywood. Sighhhh. Complete with the “angry abusive slick talking “grandma” sexual molestation” dysfunction and absent and/or deceased black fathers. We can’t just have a regular degular movie without the black trauma roles??

Nahhhh. That’s what it SHOULD and COULD have been. Except in Rocky there were actually fight scenes. Not 2 hours of a Halle Berry training montage of her proving how “in shape” she is at 55 years old.

I went into it with an open mind but that didn’t last past the first 20 minutes. The UK actress was possibly the most interesting character in this movie until they phoned her in with the agenda points and negated her role with all of the “relationship” pandering/ had they kept it strictly Boxing trainer and student, it would have had more potential.

Well there goes that for me. My lady wanted to watch it but it’s going to be a hard pass for me. Looks like ima have to sit through some romance BS this weekend.

I was disappointed. Blackgravity is right, stereotypes all up & through it. If Halle was trying to make a comeback, try & try again. Don't even think about a sequel, real talk! 💯
