Damn I feel for the guy. This is a big reason why I don't like to gamble. I have family and friends who have been addicted to gambling in the past and it tears lives apart. A friend of mine got divorced because his wife was gambling a lot of their money away, and only found out about it when he started to lose money.
I get why people do it too, it's that high of the unlikely happening. That chance of winning big and not having to worry. Yet some people don't know how to limit themselves with gambling and the next thing they know, they're completely broke.
If I ever go to the casino, I never bring a lot of cash with me. It's usually a select amount that I'm willing to bet away and if I win anything big, I keep it. I don't spend anything else. If I win a few dollars here or there I may use it to gamble some more, but once I'm out of the budget I set aside, I call it quits.
