I got thrown off Twitter for mentioning Djvlad and Busta Rhymes as cultural thieves who make a very lucrative living off of an FBA culture for which they both have nothing but disdain!
Did they just kick you off today?I got thrown off Twitter for mentioning Djvlad and Busta Rhymes as cultural thieves who make a very lucrative living off of an FBA culture for which they both have nothing but disdain!
I'm 3 days into a 6 day prison sentence.Did they just kick you off today?
I was there. I am a Jamaican of a certain age. Acclimated by FBA culture in the Bronx in the early 70's. That means stick ball in the street rainbow icies and Sicilian corners. My mom was one of those people who never dictated who our friends should be. During the NYC black out of 1977 our business was one of the few in the community that did not get vandalized... People loved her. I have the high honor of having seen Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5...Live...of going to Dj Breakout parties in the Edenwald projects...unfortunately immigrants nowadays have become tethers for real. You can thank Hollywood for that. It's why a Korean who never met a black person diaplays hatred. Jamaicans were influential in the development of hip hop but we did not create it. The cultures were separate at that time. Us teenagers at that time moved back and forth between the cultures but Jamaican adults didn't like hip hop until sugarhill. There was no record store in Jamaica where you could find funk records with breaks to mix. Jamaican sound system culture developed simultaneously and they never played hip hop in those early days. Like KRS said you could get your party shot up if u did. Busta has a large platform and owes FBA culture enough to be careful about what he said. Taking bout black Americans don't have no culture. That's past ignorant It played too heavily into this narrative of everyone taking and getting rich off, yet disrespecting FBA culture.DJ Vlad is 100 percent culture vulture. As far as Busta and this is not an excuse is we all heard the Kool Herc story. Even hip hop head Tariq thought as much. I did, we all did.
I'm sure Busta heard the same thing. If Busta said AFTER hearing it was way before Kool Herc, I'd agree 100 percent. Other than that he was just repeating what was said historically. I assume he's been 'educated' now and if he maintains the Kool Herc narrative then yeah, he's glomming off the culture.
Don't make it your side bitch make it your main and make twitter your side bitch. The good thing is I had 6zeros as an alternative that is favorable to my thinking..when you advertise make that point.
The thing is DJ Vlad stayed in line because the Jewish community could punish him by making sure no major artist ever sits down with him again. If a Black person defies the community what can we do? Not a got damn thing. They can actually defy us and make more money than they can ever imagine. That's the true problem at the end of the day. Allegiance doesn't come free. You pay for it or you demand it with violence. It's strange to me... black people are so proud to claim we are not a monolith, yet every other group is monolithic in their hatred of us. It's a shame that we can't punish Vlad for his behavior. He stayed on code with his people and refused to apologize to Minister Farrakhan. He knew he would find Knee Grows who would support him against their own. That's why I strongly believe in the 1804 treatment.
Twitter is the butcher trust me....she just got more money...so I'm not sleeping ova...always gonna get my ass home...Don't make it your side bitch make it your main and make twitter your side bitch.
It's amazing how they got this slave master shit locked...world wide...here in Jamaica the face of white supremacy is black. The majority black population is under privileged under educated and exploited. The thing is DJ Vlad stayed in line because the Jewish community could punish him by making sure no major artist ever sits down with him again. The USA uses both...they pay you to comply with a job or more directly with a government check ...if that doesn't work they get to the physical.
Twitter is the bitch...Twitter is the butcher trust me....she just got more money...so I'm not sleeping ova...always gonna get my ass home...
😄🤣😄🤣😄... I heard that.Well come home at least once a day and not only when you and yo bitch fighting.
I NEVER understood why our people allow that racist ass MoFo to interview them in the first place!I dont understand why Vlad is stilll the go to. Boosie is going to learn the hard way. And as for Buster Rhymes? Phuck him and the flat and flabby anus he fell from. POS!!!
100% so true. It’s subconscious cooning in a lot of ways. They see the Black community through the same lens as the dominant society so when you come to them they treat you like crap because you’re a lonely negro.Vlad got in from wanting white validation. It's one of the things that has hurt us for 400 years because we have been programmed to see then as gods from the plantation. They pushed it and many of bought it.
Many of us are 'Stockholm syndromed' about white folks. We (as a collective) made him a muliti millionaire for free. People came on there for free, people far more famous than him (i.e. Jamie Foxx, etc) but many of the same famous people wouldn't hook up a black podcaster with even a 15 minute interview.
Jason Black said some of these same folks wanted him to pay them but did Vlad for free. I wish I knew who he was talking about. Cancel them mofos.
I DON'T want KKKaspers approaching me about 💩, EVER! KKKoons either! 💯💯100% so true. It’s subconscious cooning in a lot of ways. They see the Black community through the same lens as the dominant society so when you come to them they treat you like crap because you’re a lonely negro.
When a white person comes to them they are honored and make space for them. Even doing something pro bono is seen as a come up because they are being validated by even being approached.
