I don't have the time, money or whatever but I desperately would love to see Tariq, TBA, Dr. Small, anyone who has it him or her to record this type of stuff.

We need it. My guess is there are tons of info already lost already. Tariq said he learned about what went on significantly in each city by talking to blacks, usually elders or activists from that city.

This is imperative. Anywhere we have made an impact, anywhere we have done good.

I think it's good to know but too many Black people are resting on our ancestor's laurels instead of pushing us forward as a people. So it's good to know but do we need the New Black Media focusing more on the past or more on the action required to fix the issue? No right or wrong answer.

It's unfortunate that much of this history has already been lost and I can see the value in having people like Tariq, TBA, and Dr. Small to ensure that it is widely available. We need to advocate for the proper telling of black history.

I agree with you that It's important to preserve and share our history, especially the parts that have been overlooked or intentionally erased but I also agree with Harbinger in that we need to focus on taking action to address the issues facing our community today. It's a balance between honoring our past and working towards a better future.

Great idea. We need to make sure the information is not changed by folks who have ulterior motives.

Agree. Talking about them but have built nothing of consequence ourselves.

This is important since people's memories fade away with time although some parts may stay vivid.
