I'd love (and perhaps others) to hear more about pivotal Blacks from the UK as well. I'm sure you guys have a rich history past and present of brothers and sisters doing things in various fields.

    Same thing I feel. I like to hear about the good things Black folks have done from all over this world. Especially the positive contributions they have made for our people and society.

    Benjamin Zephaniah has always been respected, and it went through the roof when he gave his reasoning for turning down the MBE. He is a real one, gone much too soon.
    We have George the Poet, some of his work can be found here: George The Poet.
    He also rejected his MBE for similar reasons: George the Poet: I rejected MBE over 'pure evil' of British empire.
    I wish there was someway people like him could fill up all these positions so we can get our power back in this world. Unfortunately, there are too few folks like him.
