Something I've read about for some time, is that colleges have been buying up the hood specifically and/or the surrounding areas around it in general.
USC in south central LA. Penn, Temple in Philly, University of Chicago, Marquette in Milwaukee, etc
What I didn't know from this video is that the universities are non profit and don't pay property taxes. Property taxes that fund our roads, schools, etc.
Furthermore the schools in or around Black areas have the campus police stopping the local Blacks in their own neighborhoods.
