If you are 14 or younger, you have been banned for life from smoking in New Zealand.
Can you imagine if they did that here?

So wait, if you get caught smoking at the age of 14 or younger, you won't be allowed to smoke at all, even as an adult? That seems a bit batfishy to me. Like I get keeping kids away from the stuff but you are going to legit incriminate people for smoking when they are grown? The f is wrong with them?

The minimum smoking age moves up every year until you'll never be old enough to smoke. Even if you are 65, you have to prove to be 80 in order to smoke😂

I guess that is one way of outlawing it but still. There are far worse things in this world. Pretty sure alcohol alone causes more health issues in people than smoking. At least from what I have witnessed at the clinic. Both are bad for your body but people need to have the freedom to decide for themselves.
