This nigga is so disappointing because he is such a brilliant communicator but always involved in some nonsense.

he can’t just start a small one classroom school and build from there, he has to buy an actual school campus and fumble it.

can’t jus marry own woman he has to make a spectacle and marry two.

but no one is perfect and I have to accept that. For every brilliant breakfast club interview he’ll have, they’ll be 2 other crazy ass videos of him snorting and repeating himself.

Every now and again sprinkle in a video of him doing something at the school and throwing out dates for events that never see the light of day.

Becoming a celebrity was the worst thing that happened to Dr. Umar. When he was helping Black parents, that was great. He was providing a service that our community desperately needs.

Once the money & the fame came, Dr. Umar reinvented himself as the king of all Blacks. He acts like he's building Wakanda instead of a school for Black boys. Meanwhile, the lights & water aren't even turned on at the school.

I honestly believe that Dr. Umar's heart is/was in the right place, but he has become a victim to his own hubris.

Yes! Like they say absolute power corrupts absolutely. When he got that clout, had money coming to him and had women crushing on him it went to his head.

Like you said, he got that messiah complex and didn’t see him as a cog in a larger clock…he became the wholllle clock in his mind.

it’s kinda like what they said happened to kwame nkrumah

I totally agree - I think his heart was in the right place but his intentions got clouded with the fame.

Right. I have no problem with him getting fame & fortune, but he let those things get him completely off his square.

    facts

I started looking at him differently when Tariq called him out. He was being too funny style and the school sealed it for me. Then the nigga was lying about having the book signing at that one spot and they called the owner and they knew nothing about it.

That’s why I like Tariq…he’s rich and doesn’t make it a big deal. He not high on himself…he releases products, people buy it, he sends it to you and it’s all good.

He talks too much about a school and haven't done much of anything. Plenty of other folks don't have the notoriety nor the money he raised but have gotten up and built something small that works and are doing great things education wise.

That man has been postponing the start of the school for I don't know how many years now. I'm sick of him. He is most certainly a great orator. I definitely agree with that. I learned a lot from him in how the system works. The fame has gotten to his head.

I thought he married two women last year. I saw the ceremony.
Anyway, he's NOT doing what he said about the schools still, so I don't give a 💩!
