I don't usually date someone and end up not being into them. But there was this girl I had a crush on through middle school and high school. I unfortunately didn't know her personality when I asked her out. Anyway, I asked this chick out and at first, the signs were good. We shared similar interests, she was chill and kind, blah blah blah. Anyway, I asked her out. And to my surprise, she said yes to a date. Once on the date is when I saw the signs.

So the reason I started to lose interest in her, was on our date, she wouldn't stop talking about god and how her life is for god. Hey, more power to ya if you're religious. I'm not very religious, but she was preachin at me. Telling me stuff about the bible and all this. I had no idea she was so religious. She seemed chill in school, but on our date she was like, nah, we're talking the word of god and you're listening.

So I stayed and we had our date. And, to be honest, we started dating. But, it was short lived, as she was really pushy about me going to church more and taking religion more seriously. My interest in her pretty much went away gradually at that point and I ended up breaking it off about a few days later. I wanted to give it a shot, because she was one of the best looking women around, but I couldn't take the constant preaching and her want for me to be more religious.

Sorry for the wall of text. But, have you ever started dating someone, and soon realized you made a mistake?

I had liked a guy I worked with previously. We'd flirt back and forth and I knew he was interested. He did end up asking me out on a few dates but I was busy at the time. I agreed to finally go out with him and had a great time. We ended up going steady as they say (lol I like using that word) and after a few weeks, things got weird. He became VERY possessive. I ended up breaking up with him at the one-month mark. He actually stalked me for a few months after this. I explained the issues at work and they fired him over it. Thankfully nothing ever came of that and he left me alone.

Yeah, I had a big crush on a guy in high school. We never officially dated but we were around each other a lot and ended up kind of going to a few events "together" and would text a lot. It wasn't long after I started getting to know him that I realized he was really really jealous. Like, he wanted me to drop everything and do whatever he was doing at the time. I was always good in school and I played sports but he wanted me to skip practices or class and would get really mad when I would tell him no. Luckily I was able to get out of it before we went too far.

Rather not waste anyone’s time and usually if I see red flags then it’s time to make my exit.

And your girl with the turkey was a pure idiot- airhead status 😂 . I absolutely despise people who think they’re funny, and they’re not. But on the flip, people who take life too serious without balance; I can’t hang with either

Nope - I wouldn’t need an explanation. But truth be told- I’ve never been ghosted before . If that happened- I would assume there was a personality clash and move on. Never been one of those girls to track dudes down for answers - if we fall out. There’s a justifiable reason. I know my temper is volatile as shyt at times so it’s best for me to break from the situation then to continue sending Mixed messages to a man that I don’t like.

Well that's fair, I can't argue with that.

I think being able to take what you dish is important.

I hate being ghosted so I try not to do it even though its sometimes easy because there's no confrontation.

but to be serious, the older you get the easier t is to spot what you don’t like/want

I hate when people change mid-relationship. They are great at the start, and show their true colors when things are going good. I'm sorry to hear your ex stalked you, that's messed up.

A friend of mine said that she used to be friends with someone else he dated but didn't realize it until months after the fact. I guess the dude was very manipulative and controlling in that relationship as well. Some guys just like power tripping.
