I was thinking about this question after being called a pro-black militant tonight at a kick back. The problem with the statement is that it was used as a pejorative by a shea-butter twitter type with a septum piercing. So I want to ask the ZERONATION what does Pro Black mean to you? To me it's:
    • Advocating for the interest of Black people
    • Standing on my square as a Black person
    • Wanting and working towards the betterment of Black people
    • Being Black and proud
    • Prioritizing other Black people
Nothing about it is radical, militant, or wrong but we are in such a racist society that the above is a radical concept. Asians, Hispanics, and etc can practice all of the above but when we do it we are radical. There's been some great brainwashing done to our people.

So what does Pro Black mean to you and do you think it is the same as B1?

Bonus Question: What does pro black mean to you when used in a negative context?

For me, Pro Black means loving your people, yourself.
Always looking for ways to better the situation of our people.
Supporting in anyway you can to help our people.
Not seeing myself as an individual but part of a group that's working towards the same goal, true liberation from white supremacy.
But most importantly, staying #OnCode with the others that are #OnCode

I am mixed, as I have stated. I am proud of my heritage on both sides but recognize one side is yet to be accepted in society.

For me, it isn't about being "anti-white" but rather putting my own people first, the part of me that has yet to be made whole from the past. I don't care what white people are up to, so long as they are not racists in positions of power, I stay focused on what matters. I think being pro-black means being pro-community. Uplift your fellow brothers and sisters in your area and if they step out of line, tell them to take that shit elsewhere.

Being that all is one, pro blackness is a state of loving yourself whether you are black, white, Asian, Indian, etc. It is the (conscious or unconscious) recognition that this flaw of society (white supremacy) is causing all the other flaws and uses its opposite to remedy it. The fact is, lifting up black people will lift up everyone. It can't not happen this way unless we are people that exist outside of reality itself. Of course, I think it is fine to think being B1 or pro-black (which I do see as the same thing) is only to the benefit of black people.

When used in a negative context, it is evidence of a conscious/unconscious belief that the speaker doesn't believe they are doing/thinking for themselves as much as they think they should. It's projection. "I'm not doing what I believe I should be so I defame the thing I believe I should be doing so I don't have to feel bad about not doing it." Same idea as with racism in that they defame us so they don't have to feel bad about how we are treated. It is why being "woke" is demonized so much in white media.

I'm just acknowledging that nothing happens in a vacuum. By helping ourselves, we're going to help other groups whether we like it or not.
The question was "What is Pro-Black" and you did not answer the question. You went on a rant about what is and isn't Black and was totally irrelevant to the question posed.

I think it is quite simple.

Being Pro-Black means interacting with the world with the goal of benefitting Black people. People that are not Pro-Black are typically known for advocating for their own or other’s interest. America’s favorite sharecropper Jim Clyburn is a sterling example.

The question was "what does Pro black mean to you?" I went on to answer that question starting with the very 1st sentence. The "rant" is totally irrelevant to you because being pro-black means different things to us.

If someone said “in your opinion, what is a fast sports car” and someone replied “to me, a fast car is truck, a van, an RV, and a motorcycle because they are all automobiles”. Now is that their opinion? Yes! Did they explain what a fast car was to them? Yes. But did that opinion have anything to do with the question? No!

Black in the prompt references a specific race and ethnicity so to say to means Asian and white is just not a valid answer.

    That's not an applicable analogy.

Maybe I wasn't clear, let me rephrase. Pro-blackness means self-love to me. A black, white, Asian, Indian person that is pro-black is practicing self-love. Pro-blackness is recognizing the error known as white supremacy is causing all the other errors in society and employing a mindset of self-love (Pro blackness) to correct the error. In other words, pro-blackness means error correction to me. The resulting correction benefits everybody in society which is why being a different race while being pro-black is also self-love.

Why do you keep bringing up non-Black people? Can you answer what is pro-Black in a way a 5 year old can understand?

For me, it means prioritizing black people, black issues, black love....basically B1. I've been made to believe that my way of thinking is not realistic 😕 because I always include the effects most issues have on our people. I don't care. If I got to be on an island by myself, so be it. 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

What I’m the hell are you talking about? Pro-Blackness ain’t got jack shit to do with error correction. Pro-Blackness has nothing to do with external factors, it’s internal it’s basically stems from self-esteem and self-worth.

I would write my answer but you took it! It’s simple, loving ourselves. Once we love ourselves the rest starts falling in place. We take our side on Black issues because we love ourselves, we prioritize Black love because we want more of us, but it starts with self-love.

I bring them up because I believe it is advantageous for us to view ourselves within the context of reality. I believe a 5 year old can understand oneness fairly easily. They're actually closer to it than we are. As we grow older, we become more and more convinced of the illusion of separation.

The context of reality is that we’re a global slave class because everyone advocates for self but we got people like you saying we need to sing kumbaya.

The context of reality is if someone is a global slave, everyone is a global slave. Everybody's in the same boat, they just don't know it because bondage takes different forms.

Everyone advocates for self because they don't recognize if you are not in bondage, you don't actually have to do that at all and they have to do it because they have allowed someone else to have to do it. Justice cannot be fragmented. Either we all have it or none of us do.

I think we need to go through the prerequisites before we all sing Kumbaya and that is apparently what's happening now.

You believe that people not having self-esteem and self-worth isn't an error?

Do you believe white supremacy can exist if black people were solid on those things?
