My place is too small to grow things and I'm in a climate where flies and other pests love to enter my home (especially in the summer). So I don't really have anything to work with right now.
You'd be surprised what you can grow in a small place. Even if you just have a couple feet of space, you can grow things like celery, lettuce, & herbs in your kitchen or living room.
You can even grow dwarf citrus trees indoors (they only reach 2'-4' max) & enjoy fruit year round!
