This part! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 And we ain't NEVER getting free on the slavemasters' communication platforms. All the dominant society is doing is gleaning our thoughts so they can build the mechanism to stop us. I'm glad to be bought it because it forces those of us with half a mind to do better about supporting and building Black-owned stuff. At some point, it's on us.

Indeed. Literally anytime I see someone complaining about needing another black space I always tag and mention this site. Hell I even had a tether try to get crunk when I told him it was black owned and blacl moderated. When he realized it was FBA ran he tried to snap. Im like get out of here hamite
A lot of individuals on twitter are talking about the need for a Black social media, they get shown 3 or 4, and they make excuses why they won’t or can’t use any of them.
Social media in and of itself is toxic. It is better to find a community (a forum) like this one with like-minded people on a smaller scale. When you have THAT many people coming together in the same space, you are going to always have problems. This is why I am always telling my friends who still use Twitter and Facebook to get off there and be done with em.
This is the epitome of off code behavior. I normally dont complain about my people but since this is in house I gotta get this off my chest. I can't stand when our people complain but when given a solution they complain about the inadequacies of the solution.
Im like wtf we don't recognize what progress is or what it looks like. Its like we get in a self defeatist rut right when things are looking up. I had to snap on one of my aunts who was off code a few years ago. She would always say shit like "Oh what should we be doing as black people" Yet when I would give her a solution she would nit pick the hell out of it. Unfortunately we have people who do not truly believe in black solutions much less black self sufficiency.
It's a defeatist mind state if you ask me.
- Black people recognize a need for a Black owned product and say they want it.
- Black entrepreneurs recognize the need but require capital to make a professional product. Since they are blocked from most major sources, they are forced to boot strap the product.
- A Black entrepreneur releases a product despite all the adversity, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but if the sell enough they'll be able to reinvest and make the product better.
- Black people refuse to buy it because it doesn't have all the bells and whistles
- The Black entrepreneur doesn't get enough sells, discontinues product
- Black people end up not having the product they need OR end up buying it from a White or Asian
It's a coon mentality. People that don't even post here say "well they need a mobile app". If they invest in building a mobile app, you'll have another excuse for not coming.
Yes, that part. Its as if some people like complaining about problems rather than solve them. "Every silver lining has a cloud" mentality.
It's not free if it has a price, and not q good price either. The long-term payment option with hidden fees and additional interest will be costly for us in the long run.
I always imagine how people make excuses in this current time would be the same people making excuses when we were on the plantation.
Complain about massa but when its time to fight or run its levery excuse in the book.
I said this in one of my addresses. Some negroes use problems as excuses to do nothing. If there is ever a time where they admit that there are no barriers in front of them then they have to admit that they are willfully doing nothing about their situation.
The core of it is cowardice and I’m sure these BANs go all the way back to KMT
