The more I sit back and just watch things happen and watch what people do, the more I see stuff like this.

What I mean by the title and the above is that the church and the state have the same problem where there are people involved that aren't out to make a better community or uplift others, they are in it for themselves. A lot of church pastors and politicians do what they do because they want to become rich. They do the bare minimum when it comes to church duties or public duties and when it comes to the bigger decisions, they go with whatever is best for their wallets. The shame of it is, these people are often viewed as "good people" by the general public and the ones who actually are out there doing good will get criticized.

I kind of laugh when I hear the "separation of church and state" because there are snakes in both who do the same damn thing as each other.

Don't get me wrong, there are good politicians and good church leaders, but they are few and far in between these days.

Yes, I think the crux of your argument and correct me if I'm wrong is dogmatism and those that exploit it. Religions in the western sphere of influence are intensely dogmatic as they replace critical thinking with a prescribed set of beliefs and actions that believers must follow. Politics in the USA has turned into a similar type of fiasco where Government is the religion and red/blue, left/right,dem/repub,liberal/conservative serve as competing denominations similar to Protestants and Catholics. Believers fall within one of those two buckets and then are used as pawns by the Powers That Be. When you look at Black Democrat voters, they were moved by faith in voting for Joe Biden rather than by logical and critical thought. It's sad but dogma is easier than logic, the path is pre-determined and faith gives you the hope that there is reward at the end.

    This is deep.

The school system has been preaching mindless dogma and the vax situation proves it. We are screwed.

I am all for people having their morals and their beliefs but it has become tribalistic in nature and has seeded this huge problem with group-thought and hive mind gatherings both on and offline. I have been in a room with people of different beliefs (religions) and have seen them get along just fine but back in the day, this was not something that was acceptable. It seems like the tables have flipped and now if you are caught with anyone who has different political beliefs as you, they are about ready to stone you to death over it. It is almost like we are intellectually evolving backward.

Yup! And the school systems are an entire mess of their own. We are still seeing most public and even some private schools use the same kind of educational principles as they did prior to WWII.

The whole vaccine thing and the mask thing in schools are no different than people fighting over different religions or politics. It is scary to see this kind of thing happening today. It is almost cult-like.

I work in a clinic, I see it as well. Some of the women quit because we had to be vaccinated. I just bit the bullet. I don't think the vaccine is unsafe but everything happening around it and how people are reacting to it mentally and emotionally makes me think there is some kind of motive.
