A friend of mine needs a new phone and wants to get a Galaxy but doesn't want to pay $1000 for a phone. She is looking at getting the S20 for this reason but everything I read said it isn't worth it cause the battery life will not last as long from it sitting around. I think she found a new one for $459. I just don't know if it is worth it if the battery took a massive hit already.

The battery life of most Galaxy phones is pretty good. The S20 is a very good phone but for that type of money I would go with the new Google Pixel for that type of money, but if she is a Samsung fan, I'd grab it for that price.

What about battery deterioration? Some estimate that by year two, a phone is already sitting at 70% battery capacity from not being used.
