It's not my kind of thing at all. I'm going to pass on this one with so much ease. I never liked it as a kid, and I'm very sure that it's not going to make any sense to me now as an adult.
I don't expect it to appeal to you as a guy. It was mostly a girl thing. I know some boys played with them when they were real young but it was probably to rip their heads off. lol My older bro did that to mine on a number of occasions lol

Barbie was a white girl thing. I ripped the arms and legs off mine and buried her in the sand box because she was a Russian double agent and my GI Joe found out about it. She was hiding the location of the nukes. But she gave in eventually...... Needless to say, my parents took the barbie from me. Then they got me a doll, her name was Kenya, I think. I was told I was FAR nicer with her.

I had a few Barbies but I mainly had Christies. This was when I was real young. My dad built me a barbie house. I loved that thing. I wish I still had it. I got into Bratz when I was a little older but only had Sasha of those.

I had Addie from the all American girl series. I loved her so much!! But I liked cars and trucks and guns, and Legos and stuff so the few dolls I did have, I played with them very seldomly.

Oh I LOVED legos! I remember when I got my first set. It was like a pink box of sorts and just came with a bunch of stuff to build houses and whatnot. It is crazy what some of the pieces sell for these days too. Like the OG minifigures and specialty pieces.

I played Barbie on the NES when I was a kid, but that's all the exposure I really had to Barbie. I know my sister had a quite a few Barbie dolls, as they do make black barbies too. Either way, the Barbie toyline was just another way to put unrealistic beauty standards on young girls and women.

As for the movie, It isn't for me, but I'm sure young girls will get a kick out of it.
