Are you talking about the Joe Biden that locked Black Americans up for the same type of offense? Of course he has no smoke for Russia. he probably thinks she should get longer sentencing.
OK I didn't take this seriously until today because I figured it was all political theater and the announcement made today would have been one about her release via prisoner swap.

Remember a Jewish lady got caught with drugs and it to Benjamin Netanyahu to get her out. Not saying there is no politics involved but Russia does have some history of going hard on foreigners with drugs.
