America should have been the first country with high speed rail. Korea, Japan, various countries in Europe have excellent high speed rail.
About 10 years ago I took what would have been a 2 hour car ride between Korean cities in 45 minutes by high speed rail for 20 bux. l
The airline and car industries, along with white folks who feared inner city blacks being able to get to their areas (NIMBY - Not In My Back Yard) killed high speed rail in the one area of the country it would make perfect sense. Boston to DC. Especially DC to NY with stops in Baltimore, Philly and possibly Newark inbetween.
The country could put millions of inner city black men and women to work in decent paying wages just by fixing the infrastructure in the inner city. There are 1000s of low and unskilled jobs that could be done. Our military is literally buying 20 dollar hammers with overpaying for shyt when we could easily pay a brotha $20 an hour in Chicago or Brooklyn or South Central to wear an orange vest and hold a 'Detour' sign while others are repairing that road, bridge, whatever.
The companies who can fix it could be giving brothers apprenticeships to learn on the job and make some real money, some of it union money. The trick bag is they know this and do the 'why can't you black people pick yourselves up by your own boot straps and killing each other'. Then turn around and let the infrastructure go to hell.
