Too bad for Sisqo, hate to see that. A lot of rap artists lost their publishing to copyright infringement.

on another note....
What is bewildering to me is that young black singers know very well about previous generations, current artists robbed, etc.
And seem to spend zero effort in preparing if they make it big. They spend their whole time honing their skills as an artist but none honing skills for the money from their potential fame.

The same goes not just in America but reggae as well. Rappers, singers, reggae artists on major labels end up broke. Way too many. I don't know if Afro Beats artists are the same. I'd be very curious to know how the top African artists like Davido and Burna Boy are doing financially.

Similarly, the same for athletes. I went to a major D1 school. You knew some guys were going to be pro b ball or football from freshman or sophomore year. They spent zero time getting their financial team together.

Same goes for black soccer players as well who are great as teenagers. A whole litany of fantastic Brazilian soccer players are broke now or nearly broke.

The shining light is LeBron, also Marshawn Lynch and a few others who are saving, investing, etc.
