I didn't know they were making a series for that book! My friend was telling me I have to read it but I never got around to it. I am not big on reading to begin with. I will have to watch the series though.
We just finished it too. When they revealed Nella's white boyfriend & lesbian best friend I thought we would get the Shea Butter Twitter special. I'm glad to say I was wrong, though. We ended up binging it & it turned out pretty good (and even set up a second season).
I won't spoil anything, but for anyone who wants to watch the show, it's a mix of Get Out, The Stepford Wives, and Atlanta.
I'd give it a solid B/B+

I watched the first two episodes. It is decent. I am going to keep watching out of curiosity but it hasn't captured me yet. I am sure it will get better when more creepy ish starts happening.
