    For me reparations will just give me opportunity that wasn't there or not as accessible before.
    That's why the dominant society is so far ahead. They have easier access, opportunity is just given. We have to work twice as hard to get half as much most of the time.

    I concur. I do not trust anyone who believes that Reparations is going to be a magic pill that falls out the sky and rights the wrongs. Reparations will only lighten the load but not remove it.

    The idea is to already have something going and then build on top of that!
    It's easier to finish building something that's already started than to start building it from nothing.

    If you're waiting for out right unity we'll never get that. We have to recognize that all of us won't unify but the people who are willing to will be the ones to make the difference. ✊🏿

    There will never be outright unity ever the gold standard will be cooperation and collaboration based on common interest and ideology.

    There will be multiple competing groups at all times and the goal is for them to all bare fruit. The ones that cannot bare fruit can die off but the ones that do need to be able to collaborate around common interests aka Black self-sufficiency etc when need.

    But outside of those times where we need to stick together we should be competing to be the best in whatever we do.

    Because people don’t want to set aside petty minor differences and focus on the core critical issues.
