That's a fucking disgrace someone didn't do their job
Hell yeah. Gross negligence. It ain't that high of a mark for him either. I don't see how he let that ride. No pun intended.Big lawsuits pending. Huge
Can't get your loved one back, money means NOTHING! 💯Big lawsuits pending. Huge
I have riden the meanest of coasters, some went under water and some went in man made caves. I have rode some with several loops...But I am NEVER getting on that giant sling shot. They are scary as fuck. I went on a 400 foot one and almost had a panic attack on the way up. That was my first time on that ride and the last time ever.I have riden the meanest of coasters, some went under water and some went in man made caves. Final Destination: 3 comes to my mind.
Mayan Mind Bender used to be wicked ride. Took place totally in the dark inside manmade pyramid. A night ride on the Serial Thriller was awesome too. Yup! I’m a huge roller coaster fanatic and can’t believe this happened. Not only that it happened but then after he fell out the staff seemed clueless and unconcerned. Just L’s all around:Final Destination: 3 comes to my mind.

Now the stories are coming out. People are now saying with him being large (Football player), why was he allowed on being oversized? I can see the workers running around lightly pushing the bar down but didn't wait to hear the "click" of being locked in place.Yup! I’m a huge roller coaster fanatic and can’t believe this happened. Not a good situation.
- They didn‘t push his harness down
- He didn’t pull his harness down
- His friends didn’t push his harness down
Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm & Great America come to my mind, EVERY TIME! 💯Final Destination: 3 comes to my mind.
He shouldn't have even been allowed to ride. The operator NEVER does an efficient job!
I couldn't watch after the ride started ascending, seen this too many times already!
I think they were hearing the clicks. All modern rides won’t even start if the harness doesn’t at least click once. That;s why I like manufacturers that add the seat belt that connects the restraint the the seat inbetween your legs. Not only does it stop this from happening it also makes it very simple. If we cant fasten the seat belt you cant ride. Now the stories are coming out. People are now saying with him being large (Football player), why was he allowed on being oversized? My full condolence for the family.
They closed in 06 for a condominium complex. They opened up some amusement park in Kemah (almost completely inaccessible to black folks who don't have transportation), and yes it was a Six Flags theme park. Quite a shame tho; it was a highly rated park and gave many black youngsters something constructive to do in the summertime. That said, dub ess will be dub ess. Shameful.Wait a minute. I'll be damn. And let me guess this was full of open jobs for black youngsters? That's a GD shame. 4 years ago I along with a few other blacks wrote to Cedar Point who is owned by a gang of arabs that it this park it turning away able bodied black kids for job openings, We were going to print these findings and sell off all our shares of stock. They closed in 06 for a condominium complex. Oh wow. Now that sounds like Cedar Point in Ohio. I have seen many heavy ppl turned away because they were not able to fit in the seat. These ppl were ALL white and embarrassed having waited several hours only to be told they cant ride. And Cedar Point has that same ride but it's called Power Towers. I rode it once and only once.I think they were hearing the clicks. All modern rides won’t even start if the harness doesn’t at least click once. That’s always embarrassing AF but hopefully a wake up call as well. When you can’t fit on roller coasters you know you doing too much at the buffet.Oh wow. Now that sounds like Cedar Point in Ohio. It's good he's talking on it but I think he is wrong in saying it wasn't fastened. That shit was fastened or else the OTSR would have risen up. That doesn't limit liability though, the park killed that man by their negligence. Problem I see is that too many of these parks hire children. I've seen 16 year olds working at theme parks running restraint checks and other ride operations.
He reminds me of my eldest grandson. We call him The Gentle Giant, after my son.
I am heartbroken about what happened to this brotha. I would have pulled him off that ride immediately. The father said that Tyre wasn’t allowed on the other rides. He then questioned why was he allowed on the Free Fall. The harness wasn’t clicked into place. I think his weight played a factor of why he wasn’t secured. I think the ride’s operators are responsible for it. I don’t believe they checked him and they were lazy as hell. Now they have blood on their hands. Tyre Sampson knew something wasn’t right as well as other riders, but I don’t understand why no one put their foot down and said, “ I’m getting off this ride. I don’t feel safe.” I have been thinking about this since Friday. I don’t understand why the friend(s) had to get on that particular ride and why they didn’t get off and leave. Tyre said if I don’t make it down tell my parents I love them. As chillling as this is, I feel like he knew his life was about to end. I just wish his life could have been saved. RIP 🙏🏾
I think the harnest wasn’t clicked in place. I read that the same ride had a broken seat two weeks ago. I suspect that the bar flew upwards and he slipped out. The people who were there probably saw how he came out or maybe they didn’t. I feel for those who witnessed that tragic scene. I heard in the videos the safety of the ride being questioned. One female asked if they made sure he was locked in place and they lied saying yes. It's good he's talking on it but I think he is wrong in saying it wasn't fastened. The manufacturer is going to get out of it because it wasn't a malfunction it looks like. I need to watch it again though...did he slide out the bottom of the restraint or did the restraint pop up and he flew out? Either way it's tragic and I hope everyone that is responsible pays the price.
Also I hope young homie is in heaven chillin.
But I wonder if it was broken why did the ride launch. I think it clicked but he slid out the bottom. Or it clicked and broken when his body pressed against the harness on the descent.I think the harnest wasn’t clicked in place. I read that the same ride had a broken seat two weeks ago. Great question. If it did click it in the beginning, it could have unclicked when going down. Tyre’s had to have pressed against the harnest. That same seat he was in could have been the one that was broken weeks ago. 🤔But I wonder if it was broken why did the ride launch. I think it clicked but he slid out the bottom. Yup. Also by the way he fell out it look like he had little friction in sliding out so maybe the harness opened and he just flew out. it’s so sad and wreckless.Great question. Yeah that’s what I believe happened. It’s very sad. He may have been in the seat that was broken a week+ prior to that day. That amusement park should be shut down, especially the free fall. We will see what happens in the future.Yup. Also by the way he fell out it look like he had little friction in sliding out so maybe the harness opened and he just flew out. it’s so sad and wreckless.
I was reading the instruction manual and it is true that he should have never have been let on. He was way above the weight limitations which makes this extremely tragic.Yeah that’s what I believe happened. It’s very sad. He may have been in the seat that was broken a week+ prior to that day. Oh yes. I have to read the manual, but I did receive that alert on my phone. I believe he should have never been allowed on the ride due to his weight. The harness wasn’t all the way down. This situation is very tragic. I wish he never got on that ride. Thank you for your response.I was reading the instruction manual and it is true that he should have never have been let on. It's a good reason why we have to teach our kids to trust their intuition. He knew something was wrong but he assumed that the staff wouldn't put him in a compromising position. Just like it happens in some horror movies and that's very scary. It's part of the reason why I'm never comfortable in those things at all. My life still matters so much to me.View: https://twitter.com/AmandaMckNews/status/1507269837189529620?t=ZVUvnl0QQFeGb_7_XX6m4w&s=19

That’s the thing I don’t get. I think he just wanted to get on a ride so bad because he was turned away from the others. I would have never let him on because he was way over the weight limit. If I feel something isn’t right, then I won’t do it. I also hold the workers accountable at the free fall ride because they actually didn’t follow the manual. The guy was lazy and unprofessional. Now he has blood on his hands. I wonder what’s going to come out of this. I think Tyre was unaware about the ride’s concept, but idk. Still could have been prevented. It's a good reason why we have to teach our kids to trust their intuition. When his common sense told him that the harness was not secure he should have felt empowered to say "let me off this".
- Afraid to tell the helicopter pilot that they need to land now, CRASH!
- Afraid to tell the Dr., "no, I don't agree...something IS wrong and I need the MRI", DIE!

The sensors on two of the seats on the Orlando FreeFall had been modified so it could operate while those seats had openings almost twice as large as normal, according to a report from the forensic engineering firm hired by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to investigate the cause of the accident.
That modification allowed Tyre Sampson to fall from the ride, billed as "the world’s tallest free-standing drop tower," on March 24 while he was visiting ICON Park from his home in Missouri. The ride did not experience a mechanical or electrical failure, the report found.
Thank you I was told this. I have to watch the press conference of his mother. So sad.Update:
'Heartbroken' family sues over death of 14-year-old boy who fell from Florida amusement park ride
The lawsuit claims the ride was "unreasonably dangerous" and that Tyre Sampson, 14, died as a direct result of the negligence of ICON Park in Orlando.www.usatoday.com
