People need to keep this queued up when Nigerians talk shit.
Their government seems to be the worst when it comes to developing their country. The only thing they know is getting richer at the expense of their citizens. I have following up on their upcoming elections news and what I have heard so far is unbelievable what their presidential candidates are doing to win the election.People need to keep this queued up when Nigerians talk shit.
If you’re so smart why TF does your country look like this?

I'm very sure that if you looked well enough, you would be able to see it. I saw one guy's comment a few years back about getting some in one African Market in his neighbourhood or something. I would have to try and see if I can find his posts again.I don't know if it's possible for me to get this so called palm wine in US, just to satisfy my curiosity on what it tastes like, so that I can compare it with what we have here. Hey, no one should tell me about going to Nigeria to get it 😂.
There are so many places that are yet to be developed in Nigeria. The core timid villages still practice open defecation especially in the bushes. They lack roads, electricity or even good water.46 million Nigerians still practicing open defecation - UNICEF

So what I am not understanding is why old fashioned outhouses are not viable. There are so many places that are yet to be developed in Nigeria. The core timid villages still practice open defecation especially in the bushes. They lack roads, electricity or even good water.
Such great insight right here. I hate the term tether but that‘s some real tether nonsense they were doing by pretending to be Black AmericanI've had the fortune (and pleasure) of visiting west Africa. Here is some real talk. Nigerians have a bad rep EVERYWHERE, including the rest of Africa. Most of the issues come from one tribe, the Ibo, but by and large the Yoruba also can get it in. The Hausa/Fula are moslem and move differently.
Anyway, for all the 'look at how we do better in America' you get from Nigerians, they count on you not knowing how they are elsewhere. In many countries, UAE, parts of Asia, where people don't see too many brothers and sisters from the states, they will front that they are black American. Here in Dubai, they wear b ball jerseys. I've ran into Africans who will think I'm Nigerian despite seeing how I dress, how I talk. A lot of them front as us in order to either game women or to be treated better. They don't say that.
Years ago I visited Cambodia, there was this expat bar who wouldn't let Africans in. Mainly not let in Nigerians. Me and my boy went in and got looks. We were looking at each other like 'something is up, watch your back'. A European sat near us and started small talk. As soon as he learned we were American, it was all good. A week or so later, a Nigerian or two tried coming in and tried to holla like 'hey bro' to seem like us and them were homies. We black and speak to black folks so we spoke.
Bottom line is Nigerians (and some other Africans depending on where) only befriend us if they get something. Sometimes its acceptance by the locals by association. I can't tell you how many times I've been hit up by Africans for money, etc. They know we look at all blacks as extended fam and they prey on that. "Hey bra-dah' thing. I peeped it early where I squash that ish right away.
Sidenote: The Ibo got some food called Oha soup. That ish be banging, can't front...haha
Tribal issues is a very big problem in Nigeria from my research and just like you pointed out, there's no love amongst the three major tribe - Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba. It's why even with all the potentials the country has, they are still struggling so bad. Most of the youths want to leave the country and the government is drowned in corruption.South Africa was the richest African nation for a while, its Nigeria, but don't let them use game on you like 'we are the richest nation in Africa'. Truth is, 1. its a very low standard. Most of the continent is a developing/3rd world countries. 1. They got damn near 200 million people, enough oil where they are an OPEC country, a ton of other natural resources. They got tons and tons of natural resources. It doesn't take much to be richer than the other countries.
For what they have they eff it up. They should be a G8 nation. Easily. But their biggest issues are 1. Corruption. That gully shit is cultural at this point. 2. The tribes hate each other and won't work together.
So, for me, how can you expect them to back us in the states when they sh*t on each other? They sold each other into slavery yeas ago, no qualms, no guilt, nothing. It was business. They 'other'd each other. Real talk, an ibo will show more love to white boy than a yoruba. A Hausa will show more love to an Arab (fell moslem) than a Ibo or Yoruba (who they sold by the 1000s into slavery to both the Arabs and Europeans). The Arabs castrated males. They knew it and didn't give a f*ck.
I've met a few ridas here and there but by and large, I say write off most until they get some 'act right'. The Caribbean depends on the island and generation to varying degrees of white acceptance but by and large, the same.
A lot of Nigerians showed up in South Africa several years ago and the SA brothas was putting hands on 'em for a myriad of reasons, drug selling, scams, taking jobs, pulling the women..Nigerian guys get it in.

Of all the west African countries, they are by far the most arrogant, most entitled...by far. No one comes close. They got a rep for that.
