Amazon EA acquisition rumors: Reports claim no bid made - Dexerto

So rumors are now growing that Amazon has entered the EA sweepstakes. Disney was supposedly interested and Apple, too. I always harbor this sense that if Microsoft and Sony are sayin' "yeah hard pass" then it's a leftover that nobody wants. But with Amazon trying to create space for themselves in the gaming world, having a catalog of Madden, FIFA and Battlefield isn't the worst way to go. Intriguing gaming summer this has been.

I don't like the idea of EA being owned by Amazon.

I just don't like the concept of these larger-than-life corporations buying up and controlling so much. It shouldn't be legal.

I don't have a problem with it, as long as we aren't headed for shitty quality, broken games at retail prices where we're all a bunch of glorified beta testers on supposed day one drops of games. Thus essentially we're paying THEM to beta test for free basically.

I feel like these companies gobble up potential moneymakers and make things worse in the long run.

I thought new worlds issues wasn't whether it was fun or immersive but it just wasn't properly optimized. Is there more to that?

Better than Microsoft buying them but not by much. The difference is Amazon treats it’s customers like gold and employees like crap. Microsoft treats the customer like crap.

They were having a variety of issues at one point. Last I heard, they were still having stability issues with the servers, population problems for PVE events and hackers were messing up the in-game economy.

EA is a terrible company, they used to be good back in the 90's and early to mid 00's but have gone downhill in the 10's. If Amazon does end up acquiring EA, the quality of their games probably will still remain the same and watch them have EA titles only be released on Luna and nothing else.

Mostly and they will focus on Multiplayer, add twitch integration, EA Play will be part of prime membership

That or just buy the politicians through lobby or dark money to have a conflict of interest and things just happen to go in your favor. The United States Government is the biggest one of the biggest pay to win game in the world
