An Undisputable Fact
The dude is legit. I only first heard of him in Breaking Bad as Gus Fring but I loved that character. Honest, he was my favorite character in the entire series. The dude did such a fantastic job filling the role too, I was blown away.
Facts. Gus Fring is one of my all time favorite villains (check out Gus on "Better Call Saul", too).
Hell yeah man this dude is so talented. He brings a sense of regalness to his characters that is unmatched.

The fact that Giancarlo Esposito is one of Spike Lee's guys speaks to his talent.
Also, his portrayal of Adam Clayton Powell in "Godfather of Harlem" is brilliant!

First saw him in an under appreciated movie from the 90s called Fresh . I remember thinking if the book"coldest winter ever" became a movie he should be Santiago (the main character's dad) because his intensity and his energy and his look was exactly what I envisioned when i read that book.
Oh he is in that too?? I heard mixed things about that spinoff so I never gave it a shot but I might have to now. I mean they did pick a lot of good actors and actresses for Breaking Bad.
Breaking Bad is my 2nd favorite television show. Better Call Saul is 2B. It is a perfect prequel to Breaking Bad, but it moves slowly at times.
Even though it can be slow it's never boring, and almost everything (and everyone) ties into the OG series.
Walt’s transformation was some of the best TV I’ve ever seen. It was so seamless and realistic…he didn’t switch overnight, it was situation after situation that made him cold, calculating, and aggressive.
Exactly. Also, one little touch I loved was the way that the fearful Walt would still resurface whenever the ice-cold crimimal mastermind Heizenberg got a little too close to danger. Being able to see the evolution and de-evolution of a character's persona was really cool.
Yes! He was surprised at who he was becoming just as much as we were. But his motivation kept him pushing all the way up til the inevitable. I’m a way, it‘s a great display of how evil doesn’t see itself as such. He had a just cause and motivation but he became tainted along the way.
How many seasons are there? I might have to start watching it. I don't mind a show that has a slower pace especially since it has been years since I watched Breaking Bad. I might have to do a refresher for that so I don't overlook any details.
Walt got turned out by the game; and before he knew it, he was addicted to power and danger.
We got to witness a fascinating character study.
There are five seasons. They recently had to stop production on season six because Bob Odenkirk (Saul) had a heart attack during filming.
Oh damn! I hope the dude is okay now. I thought he was one of the funniest dudes in Breaking Bad. I am not sure why I didn't pick up on Better Call Saul when it was newer. Must have just had too much going on. Going to start watching this soon for sure.
