I used to watch the NBA and the NFL. I was never big into baseball, hockey, MMA, or any of the other sports though but I did love basketball and football at one point. As I got a bit older, I started losing interest. I don't think I watch a full season of the NFL since 2013 and I stopped watching the NBA back in 2015. I have had no desire to pay attention to either sport. Anyone else have this happen with sports?

I'm an avid sports fan, I played football in high school and have been following sports for multiple years. I understand where you're coming from because it's just not the same. Everything from the journalism (they act like fans more than actual journalists, Nick Wright, Shannon Sharpe, Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith for example) to the actual product (it's almost WWE level). I'm really trying to enjoy them but it's just not the same, and the excitement died around 2013 even though I still watch.

I will say this it's hard watching million-dollar players play sports and I sit here with nothing in my pockets after paying my bills🤣

I know the feeling. What makes it easier for me is working on something to change my situation. For me, it’s less of the financial aspect and more of the excellence they show. Sometimes it is challenging seeing someone at the top of their game and you haven’t even started or you’re trying and you suck. But remember that one day they were you and said “screw it, ima focus and make something pop off”.

Saturday I turn on the T.V and watch college Football.I try to watch Alabama play or watch Auburn lose but the last couple of years I havent been following sports like I used to.I dont have that attraction to it anymore. The whole Kobe thing kinda pushed me to that 2. To me they dont seem to happy to be where they are at.

I stay locked on Baseball (Cleveland Guardians, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies) and College Football (THE Ohio State). I only really pay attention to College Basketball around February. I watch the NFL but it's more like a stock market to me because I play fantasy football. I usually don't start watching the NBA seriously until April. I casually watch hockey but like the NBA, I usually don't pay attention unless the Blue Jackets or the Red Wings are playing. When Tiger was competing before the accident I'd watch a couple holes of golf, Venus, Serena and Naomi for Tennis.

But I haven't really felt the excitement and the electricity of sports for a while now. I still do for Baseball and College Football but not really the others. Unless it's a specific team or player as I listed above.

growing up everyone thought I was weird because I didn't watch sports, My brothers and sisters did, I was the only one who didn't. The only thing I like to watch is Boxing and some MMA ,I can only watch if there's a black fighter though. lol For some reason the sport of Boxing isn't like it used to be, it's not like it was when I was growing up. I grew up in thee era of Ali, Spinks, Foreman, Sugar ray leonard, the Greats.

I get that. I only watched a few matches in MMA and both were Rampage Jackson. This was later in his career though so they weren't as good but I enjoyed them.

I think that is what did it in for me. I lost that excitement of cheering on a team and just kind of felt like I was watching for nothing. I mean I wasn't really into sports until my teens as well so I had a good 10 year run of it.
