I love Hans Zimmer's work in general. I'll bet it's great.I love how ominous this is:
The soundtrack feels like space, that's what I love about it. Fits the movie perfectly.
Yeah he shut it down with The Dark Knight and Inception I think he's John Williams status.I love Hans Zimmer's work in general. I'll bet it's great.
Inception was great, indeed! I'll have to go back and watch the Bale Batman flicks. I don't remember much. I think I only saw one and I don't even remember which one that was. Liam Neeson was the antagonist in the one I watched, I think.Yeah he shut it down with The Dark Knight and Inception I think he's John Williams status.
Aw man straight facts!!!The Wood Soundtrack and Love Jones are too classics.
I remember being in high school bumping this on my Walkman.

The only real redeeming quality Love Jones got is that soundtrack. When that nigga walked up with Isley Brothers tape to Nia’s house and she let him in I was thru.Aw man straight facts!!!

I came in to say Love Jones but clearly I was a day late and a dollar short. My next selection will be campy but Purple Rain is my choice. Not the biggest fan of the movie but the soundtrack is perfection. The Wood Soundtrack and Love Jones are too classics.

Not to be a grammar nazi, as this is a safe space, but.....you spelled epic and iconic wrong. My next selection will be campy
I hear you but it’s such an easy answer. I wanted something boutique, not so common and loved. But yes that’s my selection. Not to be a grammar nazi, as this is a safe space, but.....you spelled epic and iconic wrong.
I feel you bro. Personally, I view it a little differently. I feel like, BECAUSE it's so common and loved, it got overlooked. Kinda like how we take things for granted. It's such a part of us, that we don't immediately consider it. So for me you more like the person that's like, "hey hey hey yall just gon forget about Purple Rain?!?!" And then the rest of us are like "OOOOH SNAP YOU RIGHT!!!!"I hear you but it’s such an easy answer. I wanted something boutique, not so common and loved. But yes that’s my selection.
Excellent perspective, didn’t see it that way. The collective hesitancy in presenting it results in it not being mentioned at all. So choosing Purple Rain in this alternate strand of the multiverse is the brave choice. How delightful.I feel you bro. Personally, I view it a little differently. YESSSSSSS!!!! BLACK PANTHER DEFINITELY WENT HARD!This is a good soundtrack (Black Panther) and the movie "Mo' Money"
NOTE: Wasn't sure if this should go here or in the movie forum. Since the main point is about soundtracks, I put it here first. If it should have gone in the Movie forum, then I apologize in advance for miss-categorizing.
Even though in general no one thinks of or watches a movie because of the music, I remember back in the day, how it felt like the success of a movie included the success of its soundtrack also. Now, the soundtrack seems like an afterthought anymore.
The Soul Food soundtrack from the late 90s and the Brown Sugar soundtrack from the early 2000s were always two soundtracks that, to me, brought their respective films to life through the speakers.
Are there any soundtracks like these that come to mind for you guys?
That Friday Soundtrack was in everybody's CD collection back in the day. Personally, the one I played non stop on cassette was Dead Presidents Soundtrack, Pulp Fiction soundtrack was aight too,NOTE: Wasn't sure if this should go here or in the movie forum.
