Black students suspended for protesting rising of Confederate flag
What is up with people getting obsessed over flags? Like if they want to protest it, let them. I mean damn. People get upset over the dumbest things anymore.
There is a flag, badge, or stamp for everything and someone is bound to get pissed about it. I get that this one has ties with history but we gotta stop focusing on things like this. Just gives these people ammo and power over us.

This is akin to burying your head in the sand. Someone puts a flag up of a regime that wanted you enslaved and you are suggesting that people just ignore it? That's John Lewis "Forgive, forgive" ideology. It's like telling a Jewish person to get over it if they see Germans with Nazi flags, it's a bad idea because the holocaust could happen again. A lot ignored it the first time and it led them to concentration camps.
Like I said, I get that some flags and symbols have a bad history and we need to know about this history so we are not doomed to repeat it for sure... My issue is that people are so sensitive that a flag or symbol upsets them enough to not just ruin their day but ruin their outlook on life. They want to censor history. That is the fastest way to repeating it.
