Crime is getting out of control. How can tech help?
Depends on why the crime is taking place. We have to make economic opportunity for our children so they not caught up with idle time and getting into gangs to survive.
True. It all boils down to economics, but we also have a social aspect to it.
I thought about surrogate fathers/mentors in an app ... Not saying that fathers in the home can cure everything, but it's a big part.

We have cameras all over cities, it don't stop crime. Everyone has a smart phone these days and are able to record in seconds. It don't stop crime.
Guns needs to be more available to law-abiding citizens in cities, period. That alone will lower crime rates big time. I know laws need to be different for more densely populated areas so guns can be dangerous but with the right training, proper handling, licensing, etc. I know it will drop crime. Criminals won't know who is packing and a lot of them won't wanna risk it.

We definitely need to push out the politicians, mostly democrats, keeping many of us unarmed and vulnerable because of where we live. As much as I despise the narrative being spread by the alt right that crime is out of control (being used to justify killing us), if it gets more black people armed, good. However, in truth, crime is actually at a 30 year low due to increased opportunities because a lot of us are actually doing the 2 to 3 times more work and study it takes for one of us to get the nod, the salary, the client, or the contract. I’m not saying we should have to, of course, after black people built this country out of a fucking wilderness for free with our bare hands and died defending it from whites and asians in EVERY war.
