Has anyone here dated older women? I'm in my mid 20s right now and I have been into older women as of late. I think it's their maturity, because let's face it a lot of young women out there are overly immature and can't grasp relationships. I mean, that's how I feel from my past relationships with women my age. Anyway, I've considered dating older women as of late, because I feel like I will never find a woman my age who's not always wanting to party at the club or bars, or go to these big ass concerts. Which is fine, but take a damn break right?

Anyway, I'm on a few dating sites trying to meet some older women. Have you guys and gals tried to meet older women/men on any dating apps or out in public somewhere? I wouldn't say I've sworn off women my age though, just the ones who are crazy about partying often. I can't do the partying anymore. I used to drink way too much, and I can't go through that again honestly.

I’ve done it quite a bit and it’s not as clear cut as one may think as age range plays a huge factor in the viability of the relationship:

  • 5-10 Years - It‘s a normal relationship
  • 10 -20 Years - Ya’ll basically just fucking and need to be honest about the arrangement.
I like to look at life as chapters and there’s chapters where you’re building, chapters where you’re maintaining, and I don’t believe that someone who is building is going to be able to be in a relationship for long with someone is maintaining.

When you’re building, you’re trying to grow, see new things, expand your horizons, try new foods.

When you’re maintaining, you’re trying to keep what you have, you’re looking for consistentcy, and your priorities shift From seeing everything to just spending time seeing the things that you have decided matter to you.

I had a woman 12 years older than me want to be my woman and I said, no, we can have a fling but you and I being together doesn’t make sense, we are in different parts of life.

Yeah for me, I think it's all about the sex currently, because I honestly don't think I could date an older woman for too long, because I know there's problems that would arise if so, and on top of that, I do want to have a family one day and there's no way I'm having kids with an older woman.

If you have to bury yo lady first it should be because that’s just how the cards fell, not something yall knew from off the rip. Smash and when she ready to leave let her exit gracefully.

My friend's brother is dating a woman who is 16 years older than he is. He is 25 and she is 41. She doesn't look or act 41 though. I would say she passes for being someone who is 32. No one really thought anything of it until people started finding out her age. Some people can be weird about it but they make each other happy. I see nothing wrong with dating older if you prefer women who are more mature mentally and emotionally.

The question becomes, what does she get from him that she can’t get from other men. In some of these cases, women know they can’t boss around men their age so they date a younger man who they can control. It isn’t always the case but sometimes it is.

True. I suppose it's best to just focus on the moment.
I am curious to how old is cougar-old?
Good question. I always assumed they were women 50+, but I could be wrong.

A lot of older people don't act their age lol. My uncle, who happens to be in his 40s as well, is into a lot of the stuff I am into, from the same music, movies, tv, etc. He's also into video games too. If they are happy with each other, that's all that matters.

Exactly! I even know someone who is more into current trends than I am and she is in her God dang 60s! Age is really just a number. I have met people in their teens more mature than people in their 30s and 40s.

I remember there was this old woman who used to play Skyrim and stream it, and she was like in her 80s. We're all kids at heart I think. It's just some people leave the fun stuff behind and become more serious.

I think retaining your inner-youth is important. Like being able to play and have fun into your adult years and maintain that is better for your emotional and mental health. This is probably why people who have kids are generally happier than those who don't. Kids keep you in touch with your inner child and just being able to have fun, be creative, and forget time.

Who says there is a cutoff to video games though?
