Dave is coming back and I am glad. He shouldn't let people who can't control their emotions like adults ruin his passion.

He was recently targeted again for being against some BS bill his area was trying to put into action that promised "affordable housing" but had nothing to do with it. He is a smart man, he read it and saw right through it. A lot of politicians do this crap on a local level. They use something that would be beneficial as a marketing gimmick to make themselves look better while using said bills to get more wealth in their pockets. It is sick. He cares about his community and that is a good thing.

Anyways, I hope this show blows up and does better than the last one.

Dave Chappelle Announces New Stand-Up Show Amid Controversies

Following his involvement in a row over affordable housing, the comedian is set to return to the stage in Portland, Oregon this April.

I hope he comes back to LA, I want to see him live. He has elevated from Comedian to Social Commentator and its awesome. The Closer was such a good special and I'm glad they have been unable to cancel him.

Nigga they was trying to paint him as some anti-middle class and poor person because he was against a developer building next to his property. The developer was lying about what they were going to build and the city council was helping lie for them. So Dave was like "if yall do this I'm pulling out of the center I'm building for the city".

I haven't seen Chappelle live either. Every time he comes home to perform in DC, tickets sell out super fast.
And you're right, nobody has been able to cancel Dave Chappelle...and we won't let them!

I wonder what material he is going to cover. I bet he is going to talk about the housing nonsense going on in his town and make it funny AF. He makes his critics look like such idiots. Blackgravity you gonna be in the house?

He is an textbook example why the system doesn't want us to have an economy because we would be able to produce our own Chappelle's at will and destroy them when they cross us.

I been lucky enough to see him four times live. The best set was in San Francisco around 2007. He did a lot of material that would end up on the last couple of specials. I saw him not too recently when he was doing all those shows in New York, and that night he had Black Star open up for him and then sets from Chris Tucker, Ashy Larry, Bill Bellamy, and even Seinfeld came and did a quick 20 minutes. By the time he came on stage, I was pretty gassed and the set wasn't all that memorable other than the jokes that would go on to be on some specials. Even when he isn't funny, he is still compelling, and although he does endorse some suspect individuals, I'll still listen to whatever he has to say.

I would love to see him live someday myself before he retires. I know he is one of the top guys right now in comedy so places are paying him well. Maybe that will be enough to do another round of tours.

The two funniest people I've ever seen in person where I was in tears from crying are Patrice O'Neal, and Ron Taylor. Chappelle is a like a marathon guest lecturer who happens to be one of the funniest men alive.
