I have learned over the years that I should not disclose how much I have already prepared. The reason is that I know the system does not want a prepared general population. And they most certainly do not want our people prepared. I am a firm believer in preparing in chunks. $20 here. $500 there. $100 over there. Etc. Even when family members come over, they cannot see how much I have since it is well hidden. I have preparatory items in multiple locations with my house being one of those locations. I would encourage people to buy important things when they go on sale for people who are short on cash. I am always looking at the upcoming sales papers and buying what I need accordingly. I really think some of the 6ers are going to be some of the most prepared people in the country when a disaster strikes.
