I am considering getting one. I don't have any but I had been thinking about it for a while now. A friend at work is a bomb ass artist and he offered to draw a custom tattoo for me to get done and has recommended me to an amazing black tattoo artist who knows how to do shading and all that on darker skin tones. My skin isn't dark by any means but I want to go to him and support him with work anyway.

Does anyone here have tattoos? What age did ya'll get yours at? Anyone with regrets?

Being diabetic I can't get any. And frankly tats period down look good on darker hue people and I was raised that females dont get tats.
That is what my mom said to me. She said tattoos are too masucline. She is old school though. She will support me if I decide to get one but she thinks they belong on men, not women. I think if you get covered as a woman, it is a bit trashy.

I do not have any. In the bible belt, they are big on not defouling the temple. I'm thankful because I'm older now and don't have anything I may regret on my body.

In the South, there are so many folks with tattoos. In the area where I live at, there are more folks with at least one tattoo than without one. I don't think I could ever get one. I don't want to defoul my temple.

No Tats, & only considered them in a fleeting instant. Years ago, became somewhat Intrigued with the Image of a FREEDMAN’s STAMP, but it was submissive & humiliating. Regarding body modification, at this point I am greatly intrigued with Scarification. Question is if I am wanting cultural authenticity & integrity, and I do desire such standards, where & who can I get to perform this work.

So do most of ya'll feel like tattoos on ladies is too masculine?

I think having a few smaller ones is fine but when you get full sleeves and whatnot, then it hardens you and makes you look too tough. I have heard of guys saying they would never be with a lady who has more than a handful (preferring them to have none) cause it tends to be a red flag for them.

    I have 3. I do want more.
Tattoos are supposed to have true personal significance, not just gratuitous graffiti.
Anything you mark yourself with permanently is supposed to have meaning.
Unfortunately, people are lost and they use tattoos as fashion and put all manner of ridiculous shit on themselves.

Tattoos, like anything else, should be done tastefully.
    For women, especially so.
I have seen women with large, well done tattoos, that are well placed and artistic.
Random, excessive, trashy, poorly done, and poorly placed tattoos on anyone are a red flag but especially so on women.
Huge bows on the back backs of her thighs, for example.
Profanity, silly pop culture sayings. Not a good look.

That is fair. I have seen some pretty trashy tats on people. It seems like trashy ones always look worse on women. Someone I know from work has a lot of them and honestly, she looks like she belongs in a trailer park.

For the fact that I always donate blood once every year, I can't have tattoos on my skin no matter how much I want to. Yeah, they look cool especially if it's inked well but my commitment to saving lives is bigger than having a cool tattoo on my skin.
This just reminds of me of the Cristiano Ronaldo's commitment with donating blood once in a year. It's the same reason why he's got no tattoo on his skin till date. I wish I could have such zeal but it's no longer possible because I already have my back inked.

I am a blood donor and that has made drawing a tattoo an impossible mission for me. I like playing the tattoo of a cat on my partners left ass and honestly wish I can draw one too.
My next tattoo is going to be my baby girl's face on my chest. I have been planning on doing that for a while now but I want it to be a surprise. Hopefully by the end of this month, I'd have it done. I know she's going to love it.

Another reason I don't want tattoos is how they would look when I get older. No thank you.
There are older folks with tattoos and it still looks good on them. I think that it's all about the kind of tattoo one inks on his or her skin. It's your decision anyways to get it or not and no one is gonna force that on you.
