I'm a Huge movie watcher, I probably watch more movies than i do T.V. My top pick for the type of movie I like best would be scary/horror flicks.
My second would be action. I'm always on the lookout for something fresh or new that I haven't seen. If anyone could suggest some good movies that would be appreciated. No romance though lol!

Normally I like comedy or historic movies more but if I have to choose from it, than I would go from Action movies as I am big fan of it.
i like the older comedy movies, the newer ones just seems dumb, Blazing saddles, Airplane, Naked gun are funny with witty jokes and excellent writing. Comedy now day's can't touch the older movies. in my opinion.

I prefer Action/Dramas like Training Day where you get the quick cuts, fast music, music stabs but you also get the intricate plots. I can't say action outright because that lumps in movies like The Expendables and Fast and the Furious which are mouth breather flicks to me.
Training Day, Bad Lieutenant, Blade, Heat, etc. Top notch Actors definitely means higher production values. I can get with those types of films. Just watched Sin City again & that is largely Mickey Rourke’s film. By and large I favor the Indie Art House scene.

Yes. Wit is a relic of the past it seems like. There's an abundance of slap schtick and I just can't get with it.
i know what you mean, I think people like Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler, Steve Carell, Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer ect. make movies that are supposed to be funny but aren't.

back in the day we had actual funny people making good movies, Richard Pryor made good comedy movies, john candy, Steve martin, Bill Murry, Chris Farley... the list goes on. This new breed of comics/actors are nothing in comparison.

Yeah, exactly. I used to work around the fringes of the film industry, so I was & am still greatly intrigued with many aspects of the industry. As for Comedy I think some of the early physical Comics were incredibly funny. Chaplin’s Ok, but highly overrated largely because he also directed. Now Buster Keaton & Harold Lloyd were great in the Genre of Comedy in film.

Training Day has a special place in my heart for the simple fact that it gives you mixed emotions. Alonzo is charming but he's a POS so part of you wants to see him get the money and survive but part of his death is the natural order for a crook like him. The actor was top notch, cinematography, everything was on point. It may hit my top 10.

Are you saying that you do or don't like movies like Training Day?

Yes you're right and most of movies doesn't have sensible humor for me, they just picked up some one liners from standing comedy shows. Old movies specially when we watched as kids are all time great.
