Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins dies at age 50 for unknown reasons. The band's statement read, "our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time." Friends, fans and colleagues remember and reflect on Hawkins's career.

No, no cause. I think it was an overdose and a few not so credible sites are saying the same.

Word is that they found him in his hotel room dead from a heroin overdose.

He had one back in 2001 I believe and couldn't shake the habit.

Taylor Hawkins had 10 substances in his system when he died, officials say

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins had 10 different substances in his system when he died, Colombia's attorney general said Saturday in a statement. Hawkins, 50, was found dead in his hotel room in Bogotá on Friday night, shortly before the band was set to perform in the capital city.

Among the drugs found by a urine toxicological test performed by officials were marijuana, opioids, tricyclic antidepressants and benzodiazepines, the statement said. An exact cause of death was not announced, and the National Institute of Forensic Medicine continues to investigate, the attorney general said.

^^^ 10 different substances?! That's a REEEEEEE-MIIIIIXXX in itself! Like damn....no matter how rich or talented, them white mfers (especially these rockers and metal headbangers) still manage to stay depressed and off themselves via drug/alcohol overdose and suicide. More proof that white "power" kills.

He likely had a heart attack from too many drugs. Be them in his system at the time or not. A lot of dudes in rock bands over-do drugs for years and almost always die young. This is a shame though.
