Credit is definitely important, ... Not to minimize it's importance , you can work around it, but it's very very difficult ...

... I think it's a huge barrier, another reason for them to hold us back ..

Did you know there are 20+ credit scores? FICO v 2, version 5, 8, 9 ... not to mention they might not all be on the same page ... And I'm pretty sure zip code is a factor, but they are just not telling us that information ...

... Alternative lenders don't look at scores, rather they look at asset values .. you can also get loans based on invoice factoring, title loans, etc ...

Maintaining a high credit score is the best route, by far ..
