Recently had a conversation about this with some people on another forum. Some argued for it and others argued against it.

The context is that prior to ending segregation and "white only spaces", black folks had their own spaces and their own economy. When they got rid of this, they were forced to be pushed into the white economy and it ended up hurting black families, business owners, and the livelihood of most black Americans.

Some argue that we need our own black spaces and our own economy back in order to remedy a lot of issues we face.

Others argue that this would be a step backward and is just rolling out segregation siting modern things taking place - such as the separation happening in schools in Cali where they have "POC Only" classes and put all the white kids in a separate space.

I want to see what you all think. You guys seem to have the most insight and knowledge on this stuff and I feel like the people on the other platform weren't fully understanding things. Not only that, many of them were coming from a different perspective being mixed or white.
