I have read that the reason Elon Musk is trying to build a colony on Mars is because he's seen the most advanced AI technology and is convinced the machines will eventually kill us.
Elon is warning us while helping to develop the very tools this advanced AI needs???
I think it's inching more towards Humans + Machines, Transhumanism. Of course, they are going to use any machines/hybrids they make to control others, it's in their nature.
I don't think we're ever going to get to a point where AI is that advanced where it can be human like in any way. I just don't see that being a possibility. And even so, it'd got to cost a ton to make a cyborg like human. It's just not practical.
Also Elon is a tool. Can't stand the dude whatsoever. He sends out all of these false promises and never delivers on anything. His hyperloop nonsense is a joke and will never happen. He is one of those guys that likes to tease these ideas, but never deliver on them.
Well seeing how Elon Musk revealed a humanoid robot last week, well anything is possible right? I came across another video while looking this one up about this guy who asked an AI "What would you do if you were a robot?" and it apparently responded with "If I were a robot, I would kill you." Of course that could have just been edited in... Anyways the robot in the video below is just a prototype, I don't think it would intentionally kill people, but there could be malfunctions if everyone eventually gets these in their homes that could lead to deaths. Computers are only as powerful as the person programming and using them, I doubt the AI would go rogue.
I think the only way that an AI uprising would occur, would be if white people controlled the AI to kill more Black people and make it look like the AI had gone rogue.
Transhumanism is already here. It has been here for some years. It is just a matter of who is in control of the machine/tech. As of now, it has been us but it is shifting to "them" and eventually... Who knows. I think Elon wants to buy Twitter to help develop his robots.
