This is why people need to be smarter with their money. We need stronger communities of black men and women renting housing to black men and women. When we have rich white dudes buying up the houses and renting them to our people, they have no reason to feel bad when they raise the rent.

Keep in mind that there is plenty of racism in the real estate market that is mostly owned and dominated by whites and non-Blacks. Most of these whites and non-Blacks refuse to sell properties to Black people and only seek to sell properties to whites and non-Blacks. At best they will let Black people rent from them as they help ensure that the Black renters will never own any property of theirs.

This is going to be bad heading into the fall and winter. I mean we are going to have people losing their homes, unable to get food due to shortages... We have to be prepared.

They get a percentage of the final sale. So you pay them, in a sense, but their payment comes from the sale itself. They don't earn anything hourly and if I am not mistaken, their cut of the sale comes from the seller's end, not yours. You pay the closing costs.
