This is kinda old news, but it has progressed more to the point that casting has been picked and I guess HBO Max will be the platform it debuts on. My guess is that it'll be a movie, but part of me thinks it could be a series. The article I'm posting below, makes it sound like he will be making a show. Which I'm cool with, but I do hope they make a movie down the line as well.

Anway, his character will be another super powered being much like Superman himself, but he's going to be his own character.

Are you psyched to see a black Superman? Honestly wasn't that big on Super-Man in general, but maybe this will change things up a bit. And I guess in the comics, he goes up against a bad Superman or

I am all for seeing more black characters in comics, shows, movies, etc. especially for the youth but why they gotta take a white character and paint him black and act like this is an accomplishment? I feel like writers these days are so out of original ideas and creative skills that they rely on this kind of bull instead of making new characters. I don't know. I guess I am indifferent about it at this point.
