Traveling through Baltimore and spotted a Brotha from the nation selling bean pies and final call newspapers. I haven’t eaten their delicious pie in three years. Glad to see they’re out and about again. Navy bean pies are my favorite. 😋

It's almost like the filling of a pecan pie.
They used to be almost like a sweet potato pie, until they started with the custard type which is what it is now ... I think they still sell the original, in some locations .,
You should try them ... There's another company or of Minneapolis that makes bean products, and they make a Vegan Bean Pie also (haven't tried it though) ..

I like bean pies also, but I've become more discriminating ... sugar (I look at ingredients in general, I'm very aware that we tend to have more criticism when it comes to our ppl vs wypipo) ...

I know right??? My family and I were on our way near home and I spotted him. My mother made a U-turn. 😂😂 My grandma thought they raised the price due to inflation. They were $5 each. My mother purchased five pies and a final call paper for $2. Now I need to keep some extra cash on me if we travel that route.
They are made of navy beans. It’s delicious. I like bean pies, sweet potato, and apple.

I've only had a bean pie once and it reminded me of a sweet potato pie. I love pralines, though.

I can't say I ever had a bean pie. I only really had a few different ones. The one I tend to eat the most (every year) is apple pie. I eat it around Thanksgiving and Christmas. A few people in my family make them homemade and they always make too many lol
I only eat apple, sweet potato, and navy bean. I am going to make some pies with my mother soon. I had apple pie last month but it was from sam’s club. It was pretty good for store brought. The best pie I had was from black businesses. Omg, this lady that members of my family know has a soul food spot and she makes sweet potato pies that are so good. I haven’t eaten it in like two years. I also ate sweet potato pie from vegan spots that are black owned. I ate a mini pie from the BO vegan spot near my home and it was good. I’ve had it twice so far.
