Let's keep it one buck. The vast majority kids in school are being raised by single black women who are working hard and don't really have time to get involved with their local school districts like that.
They leave it up to the schools to educate them and be a de facto baby sitter. They don't have the back ground to know what their kid should be taught and don't have the time and energy to know what is being taught.
The school could be introducing a new book that shows alternate lifestyles and they wouldn't know what is going on. That's how things are.
The only time these moms hear from the school is when their kid is cutting up in class or whatever.
Lastly, and this is the worst part, these moms will accept a white teacher saying little man man is acting up but won't from a black female teacher saying it with more respect even. My cousin is a middle school teacher. Looks out for the black kids because the white teachers, especially white women will suspend a black kid in a heart beat or recommend them for remedial classes or slow learners quick.
She hates teacher/parent meetings with black moms. She gets cussed out for any suggestion for improvement. Half those sistas will cuss out anyone, black or white for criticisms and the other half only cuss out the black teachers.
The few black couples are great. The pops don't play no mess usually. And they discuss strategies for their kids success. But she only has 1 or 2 of them at most. She gets some dads who are involved in their kids life but don't live with them as well.
But by and large the single moms, even the good ones, don't have the time (or energy) to be involved in things like removal of black centric things in school.
Finally, I am no way trying to blame single black moms. I feel for y'all big time. But that's the state we are in.
