Reading is a great way to help you learn and grow but first you need to have introspective conversation to truly understand where you need the work. Once you have a true, honest grasp of where you’re at and where you need to be, seek out books that talk about that very thing. @Caprice is really good at that and has done it to much success. I’ve dove the same myself when I couldn’t afford counseling and then went to counseling when I could.
The thing to remember is that if you’re a BSer you’ll always fail in this pursuit because you’ll never be honest with yourself. You need to have uncomfortable convo with yourself which is step 1 and step 2 is admitting you need to fix it, step 3 is doing the work.

Agree with this and I really agree with needing to be able to have an uncomfortable convo with yourself. The only way to improve is to be completely honest an introspective. I see a lot of people who want help but can't admit what their problem areas are.

As @Jay mentioned, I read a lot of self-help books. It’s cheaper and you can always go back to the book if you need to freshen up on a subject. You can also journal your thoughts while you’re reading to release the feelings. There’s also a lot of good info on YoutTube and I follow a lot of therapy accounts on Instagram. Or Google what you’re struggling with and want to learn and a list of articles pop up. There’s a lot of free information out there.
