My exes have said they are careful to whom they acknowledge. I think this example this woman is talking about is hood chicks. I think it depends on the socio-economic background. That's my guess.

    I speak to everyone and I don’t believe it’s something wrong with us women. There are people who do and do not speak back and they are more inclined to not speak if they cannot benefit from you. It is why she is seeing it more from other women than from men.

    This has actually happened to my wife... I don't think it's a "black thing"... I think it's a GENERATIONAL THING... just my opinion...

    It depends on how you were raised. I always speak to other black people in public. At times I acknowledge them non verbally by waving and nodding my head some. I also look at others and smile.
