I guess it makes sense to have something like this, considering the amount of school shootings that have happened in the last 20 or so years. It seems some schools in New Jersey are starting to make it a requirement that all students use a clear backpack, so they can stop potential threats in their tracks.
Do you think this will help at all? I think it could help when it comes to kids bringing drugs and certain weapons into schools. It certainly won't stop a school shooter, as they will come with a gun in hand and not stored in their backpack. At least that's what I've seen with most of these school shootings.
I can see some students complaining about their privacy though.
Some N.J. schools are mandating clear backpacks, one of many antiviolence approaches used nationwide
