There is no smoke without fire, if this have been happening for a while now, there's definitely something that's causing it. Also, I would like to know how they got the figures on their research because I don't trust what they label us blacks most times. It might just be a way to tag blacks as being too prone to committing suicide.
What's next? Is this anti-Black racist, corrupt dominant society gonna say that those Black children who killed themselves were way too sensitive and need to get over slavery, bullying, and racism? That the ignorant Black community needs mental health awareness and education because the Black community doesn't know better or take anything seriously, including mental health? What else is new in their endless, tired ass blame game?
Too many Black people, including Black children are depressed, angry, lost, confused, and without proper direction in this racist ass society. They don't have any real opportunities.
If they fall by the wayside, they get targeted by the prison industrial complex / school to prison pipeline, or they suffer from arrested development and stop growing at high school and stay at the bottom for the rest of their lives.
If they work hard and try to better themselves, then they are constantly undermined and met with sabotage from subtlely casual racist non-Blacks and open racists, not just a few Black crab in the barrels. And if they do succeed, they are usually psychologically messed up in some way, shape, or form.
Go watch that video debate about the usage of the n-word that Mike Tyson had with Kenan Thompson and other Black men in the room. Just look how defeated Mike Tyson has become and how severe his low self-esteem is now. Mike Tyson become the one of the greatest boxing champions in the world and won most of his fights in the ring and has accomplished so much that vast majority of people have not and never will, and as a Black man in this racist society at that. And yet, this same Mike Tyson recently said, "if I'm not a n1gga, then I'm nothing." He even was bold enough to truthfully admit that he thinks like this because, "that's the way I was programmed." He conquered the ring, but the system of white supremacy has conquered his mind.
Lil Wayne, Kanye West, these drill rappers, Tyler The Creator, Kodak Black, ASAP Rocky, and vast majority of these rappers (even the conscious / backpack rappers) are full of self-hate and have weird self-esteem issues. They see themselves as amazing, as kings, as rap gods, as bosses, as unicorns, or as the "Best Rapper Alive", yet they deeply resent their Blackness and suffer from internalized racism and coon mentality.
A Black man calling himself a rich n1gga with money or a real n1gga, and a Black woman calling herself a b1tch or bad b1tch isn't....it isn't cute and it's lowkey demeaning to themselves.
Lil Uzi Vert, XXXtentacion, Juice WRLD, Earl Sweatshirt, and many other rappers are or were representatives of a youth that are becoming increasingly depressed, anxious, and angry. Many non-Black youth are listening to them, but so are many Black youth. The music and entertainment is unfortunately showing the state of today's youth. It doesn't help that a lot of this toxic music is being promoted everywhere, including airwaves, by the TPTB and countless media platforms.
But here's the thing, Black people collectively are the poorest and most oppressed race in America to the very day, and this includes Black youth. Black youth are also being targeted by thuggish WS police, racist students and their parents, racist teachers and school staff, racist coaches, their racist bosses, racist adoptive / foster parents, Karens, and other race soldiers without any relief or solution in sight. And they see the same shit happening to their friends and family. The oppressors and bullies never get punished and they see it and know it.
These Black kids are not stupid. They see and know that nothing is being done specifically for them. That our government and society refuses to do anything worthwhile outside of bullshit annual block parties, holiday food drives, toys for tots, voter registration events, and yearly backpack giveaways that do not resolve the root of our issues.
Our Black youth need real support. They need real tangibles. They need real protection. Same with the rest of the Black community.
This is something that I myself wasn't particularly aware of in specific the actual statistics of suicides in the Blk community which has been historically the lowest of the main racial groups. That said, as a people we have been oppressed for so long that I understand why our children are suffering enough to feel that there is no way out except death especially when you take into the consideration that we have the child welfare system constantly attacking and permanently separating our families through forced removals and stranger adoptions. I know of several Blk children killed while in state care (I'm working on writing an article about said cases). I have had suicidal thoughts related to my children being taken from me and my husband tried several times during his young adulthood due in large part to racial and familial traumas. So it's really sad and disturbing. I'll try to start focusing more on the issue.

They do need real support, but parents are busy working, fathers are chasing tails, playing video games, and working trying to provide. Both of the Black males were in single-parent households. One single father, one single mom. People shouldn't have kids if they don't have the time, love, and resources to see them all the way through, period. Use birth control and stay single if you aren't equipped to care for another person. I see a lot of broken people making babies and breaking them.
Some things we need to take responsibility for. Casual sex or misleading tropes about what love and marriage are got a lot of kids stuck with parents who should've never procreated. There is more to every story beyond systems and White Supremacy. Sometimes it's simply folks should've abstained from sex.
Depression can be one of the reasons why such is happening because what most of us blacks have been subjected to over the years, those that are not strongly built will definitely give in to the thought of committing suicide.
A lot of young men lose their lives to reckless behavior and drug use. It is sad when you hear it or see it. Not much can be done there. Something is a bit unsettling when they are knowingly taking their lives. I never heard of rates being this high in black teens and men. Something has shifted. Something just isn't right.

There is darkness over the earth. Some of it is man-made, and some of it is spiritual. We also can't rule out the HAARP program and CERN messing with the earth's frequencies as a part of the NWO agenda. Our kids listen to dark music, are taught in dark educational facilities, are left alone in dark, spiritless homes, and consume ungodly amounts of dark internet content. They've been taught to be independent instead of collective thinkers. This next generation of young people is not going to be equipped to save themselves or us. It's quite disturbing to witness what's coming. It's a blessing and curse to be able to see the future.
Folks don't respect the watchmen. Then they complain about not knowing...smh.

Valid points mate, if the research results are true as it states then there is something definitely wrong that needs to be fixed before it becomes too devasting.
We should try to pay more attention to our kids, get in touch with their feeling, not been too strict on them but lovingly correcting them and telling them that the future could still be better and nothing they might going through lasts forever. And the schools should also enlighten these young ones about mental health issues, depression and all the sort enlightening them on ways that they could fight it without cutting short their lives.

The kids I know that Od' had parents who had 6 figures salaries and weren't strict. In my opinion, not being strict enough and not providing enough parental oversight. These kids had all the privacy, all the comforts, all the privilege, plenty of resources, and one even went to one of the best schools in the county.
At some point, we need really let go of the Western parenting centered of feelings and get back to Black parenting centered on safety. I'm all for helping kids appropriately communicate their feelings and being in touch with them, but centering feelings got us where we are today.

They raising kids who aren't ready for the level of adversity that's in the world. Just imagine being raised to be given everything you want as a Black kid. Then you grow up in a society that doesn't give AF about you. A white person can still get by but a Black person is going to be in for a rude awakening.

This! Black children need to be enrolled in the N-word boot camp K-12 at home. None of that soft baby coon shit. Basically, Black people have raised a class of weak, cowardly, coons who aren't prepared for the REAL America as you've noted. They have everything we didn't have. More information. More privilege. More understanding. More resources. They are still out here unable to think critically and can't accept wisdom from elders. These kids today believe in White folk's parenting. That shit isn't meant for us. We've adopted it and now our kids are struggling in these White Supremacist environments.
If you can't talk to your kids about hard shit they'll never be able to make it through hard times. Black parents fumbled the ball and we all are going to pay a price for it. Boys down = future men down!

Amen. Yesterday my son was saying “I want more black people in the world so I’m going to marry a black woman”. Then he said “Thomas Edison stole from Black Americans” and then he said “White Americans are not smart than us, we’re better than them”.
Whew, you all are doing work in that young man! He deserves a long car ride, ice cream, and another lesson. I can't tell you how much my dad taught me about White people and White Supremacy and I'm so grateful. All those folks who didn't grow up with old-school dads who survived Jim Crow seem to be level-headed. We will never have liberation if we keep practicing oppression and indoctrinating our children into it.
It is an illusion. We unconsciously create standards or ideals for ourselves we believe we should live up to (for our survival) then we hate ourselves for not living up to them. And of course, the standards are not fixed in reality so they change over time and our ideas of what actions/outcomes meet those standards also change. So depression arises when we don't hit a moving target that is in constant fluctuation.
Depression is also an addiction. We get addicted to thoughts that hurt us, which makes it that much more difficult to overcome.
Really, the only difference between a depressed person and a not depressed person is whether or not the person habitually tells themselves they are hitting the target. Completely arbitrary.

You know how while art and entertainment isn't the sole root of all evil, yet art can imitate and influence life, and life can imitate and influence art?
So previously you had (and still have) the self-destructive sex, drugs, and rock n roll lifestyle going on and being heavily celebrated and promoted everywhere back when rock, heavy metal, punk, grunge, and metal were widely popular, mainstream, and peaked several times between the 1960s-2000s. To this very day you still have rock/metal band members and lead singers dropping dead from suicide and drug overdoses like crazy.
But how did this self-destructive, depressive mindset begin to trickle down to vulnerable Black youth? The heartbreaking answer is that the culture, society and marketing has changed....for the worse. Over time, things became more integrated long after integration initially began and it was legally allowed in the 1960s, and despite the fact that zoning laws / segregated neighborhoods still exist.
More Black people are hanging with, dating, and befriending whites and others now. And many whites and non-Blacks are now more drawn to our Black genres and culture, and have become the main consumers. A lot of white and non-Black are now contributing some of their own productions and work to our genres, like rap. I will talk about today's rap because it's a key part in a lot of this since it is the most popular genre now.
I noticed that up until like maybe the 2000s, the only drugs that most rappers were rapping about were weed and alcohol. You had some, mostly Southern rappers, talking about purple drank too. For the rest of the drugs, mainly coke, they were rapping about selling, not using (unless it was a conscious rap record about the dangers of hard drugs) usually on some fantasy drug dealing kingpin stuff.
Now you got rappers talking about not just using weed and drinking alcohol, but bragging about popping molly, oxytocin, Xanax, pills, Percocets, drank, purple drank and sizzurp, LSD, acid, coke and crack, heroin and opioids, meth, and many more drugs. And guess which race does most of these drugs on average (hint: not Black people)?
This is what happens when you allow troglodyte cave maggot whites like JW Lucas into your circle and culture. Complete culture vulture and racist, pro-thugs in blue colonizer. They dumped and poured their garbage into our music and genres. And a lot of the Black gatekeepers (mostly Black male rappers) loved and craved white people and white acceptance, so gave them their very own cookout tables.
As soon as the food, drinks, and BBQ was served, this ungrateful ugly, nasty cave pig squealed across the table and screamed the following, "I'm white and I say so" style :
Racist ass white supremacist rap producer JW Lucas was also bragging about producing the allegedly best rap song in modern times, "XO Your Llif3" for Lil Uzi Vert, which is about suicide, depression and everyone you love being dead. And Black kids were singing to this bullshit too. Lucas was even screaming and bragging how about "this is some Rockstar shit" in another clip, but I can't find it. These whites especially love bragging about spreading filth and fuckery into our culture and communities while blaming us for all of it.
It also doesn't help that you got a generation of Black dudes, especially alternative ones, that are listening to emo shit like My Chemical Romance, The Killers - Mr. Brightside, etc. Black youth are going into EDM raves, clubs, parties, colleges, and bars with reckless whites and some others that pop mollies, binge drink, spike people's drinks, haze people, and do hard drugs. These Black people who are hanging around these whites and letting them into their lives too often let their guard down and almost always get hurt.
So on top of the anti-Black oppression, the media promotes negative stereotypes, racist entertainment and racist news coverage. And then you also have countless very low vibrational songs like "Sad" by XXXtentacion with lines like "Suicide, if you ever try to let go, uh" being played unfiltered on the radio.
Remember when Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girls" which had the lines "You'll have me suicidal, suicidal" and "They'll have you suicidal, suicidal" they used to bleep the word "suicidal" on TV and radio?
Now I'm not advocating for censorship. Just advocating for limits to especially limited, rampant exposures to toxicity and negative influences without any balance of positive things or positive influences in sight. Hostile, anti-Black racist environment on top of moee stress on top of more depression and anxiety. Can we save the environment from anti-Black racism, not just toxic fumes and pollution?
These Black youth have become just a little too in touch with their sensitive side, depressive moods, self-destructive and suicidal thoughts, and society championed them for it and even encouraged it. There are a lack of grounded father figures to help lead and guide them through it. And not enough soft, grounded mothers to effectively help comfort and nourish them because too many have become overburdened and hardened from the hardships put onto them by this racist society themselves. Communities, families, and society in general have become even more isolated, more overwhelmed, more distrusting, more toxic, more divided despite more "integrated" places, and much less tightly knit, which doesn't help our Black youth.
There also used to be a balance of negative and positive subject matter in the past. Now there's only a balance and variety of negative, sad subject matters (even if the beat and the artists sound happy). So drugs and alcohol. Homicide and suicide. Depression, loneliness and anxiety. Selling your soul to the devil and how Satan is cool. Racism, poverty, trauma, losses, sacrifices, killer cops, and injustice. How rich they are and how broke you are. How money is amazing, yet it doesn't fix your problems 100%, but you still need money to survive. How they're like the KKK because they kill n1ggas. Meaningless parties. Meaningless sex. Meaningless Shituationships. More meaningless vulgar sex. Meaningless existence. Meaningless everything. And they ain't shit and/or you ain't shit, and how no one can be trusted.
Rock and Roll is dead in the mainstream and Rap is now the most popular genre. So now it's sex, drugs, and rap. Art and life (especially life) each play a role in this sad reshaping of this society we are seeing now.
It is an illusion. We unconsciously create standards or ideals for ourselves we believe we should live up to (for our survival) then we hate ourselves for not living up to them. And of course, the standards are not fixed in reality so they change over time and our ideas of what actions/outcomes meet those standards also change. Bingo. Integration has such a devastating effect on us. There are countless ways co-mingling with inhumanity has made us less humane, and sane for that matter.
I heard one guy last week saying something about how the lockdown as a result of the pandemic got a lot of younger people depressed because they couldn't get on with life how they used to and I can't help it wonder if that was the case, it means that all of us in the world should be depressed right now.
I have lost 2 childhood friends to suicide. I think of both of them every GD day. But they say it comes in 3's and I really dont want to revisit that dark place. But now I am reading about more and more black children taking their lives over bullying, anti black racism and police being called on them for minor BS. Black only home schooling programs are needed so black children can be taught the right way with only kids that look just like them.

It is even more challenging and disheartening when you factor in the vulnerable Black disabled / special needs children, many of whom do not fare well with homeschooling and independent environments. Many of them crave or require routine, structure, additional and specialized support, stimulation, certain environments they flourish in, etc. For a lot of these Black parents with Black disabled children, it's like do they let their kids suffer at home with limited specialized support, or do they send their Black disabled children to school and have them at risk of suffering or being manipulated and mistreated by race soldiers and abusive racist teachers, students / bullies, and school staff?

Why do we continue to glamorize and look up to the very things that destroy us? I will never understand it.
Some video I was watching last night mentioned how the youth no longer cares about labor or skills, they all want to be famous be it rappers, influencers, artists, etc. and that is fine but what happens if we have an entire generation incapable of labor and appreciating hard work? I think we are just seeing the decay of society and sadly, black youth is at the bottom and will suffer the worst because of it.
