Officials with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) are still searching for a convicted murderer who escaped from a transport bus on May 12.

Gonzalo Lopez escaped in Leon County -- about halfway between Dallas and Houston. Officials say the 46-year old assaulted and overpowered the bus driver. Unable to keep control, the bus veered off a roadway near Interstate 45 and crashed. Lopez took off on foot.

I have some family in Texas so I am making sure they know what is up. These types of men tend to get as far away as possible as fast as possible but they are also VERY despite. I would guess he is heading for the Mexico border but who knows. If you know anyone in the area, be sure to warn them. Nuts the dude got out of a prison bus. Did they have no armed guards on the bus? FFS!
