I prefer the documentary on his life but I bow and salute Brother Marley for the legacy and influence he left with the world. Respect ππΏβπΏπ―
I will watch it. I think it is something most people who are fans of the guy will enjoy for one reason or another. I am not big into biopics but Bob's story is worth watching.
There are certain iconic figures I am very touchy about having it done right: Malcolm X, Garvey, Frederick Douglas, Harriet Tubman, etc, and Bob Marley is on that list. He had respect for the whole diaspora (as well as Peter Tosh). Buffalo Soldier is a tribute to FBAs and the struggle in America for example. At the time, these were some cold azz lyrics:
Buffalo Soldier, dreadlock Rasta
There was a Buffalo Soldier
In the heart of America
Stolen from Africa, brought to America
Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival
